So after watching IU play both

Illinois and UNC, I have come to the conclusion that UNC is the better team

how Illinois beat Indiana by a mere 13 points is beyond me. Indiana's best player, Bracey Wright did not play in the game as for 4 freshmen started for the Hoosiers. The zone the Hoosiers plays really shut down Illinois for the most part. I was more impressed with UNC's play(against Wright and in Bloomington) than the Illini

and discuss :hat

Illinois played horrible and still won by 13.. Deron Williams scores 1 lousy point and has 11 dimes.. The guards all struggled in that game aswell. Cmon now..

Illinois cant play in a half-court offense.. That's the way to try and beat Illinois but that hasnt happened so who knows if that actually works because you have to execute it for 40 minutes and that wont happen..

They win the blowouts, They win the close games, They win the games that your trailing in late in the 2nd half, They win when they dont even play good by double digits, They win when they shot 32% in games.. Plain and simple, They WIN!!!

I love when you team shoots bad you give little or no credit to IU's defense

Anyway, the way to beat either Illinois or UNC is to play a zone(2-3 or matchup). Indiana played that way against both teams and I fee like UNC managed it a little better.

just one nukka's opinion

Very good point, but the reason I say we overlooked you guys is this: We have torn apart a lot of zone defenses this year, and yesterday our passing was lazy, our shot selection was incredibly poor, and i'm not going to say that Indiana plays better zone than several of the good teams that have tried to play it against us.
