February 15, 200521 yr Author hello everyone, im a mermaid and was one last year as well. I wanted to thank some of our fans in the room and maybe come to reality with some of the others. Not that it is any of your business, but actually only one girl on the team has implants. I think that the things some of you see is mixed up between your words and the great things we do arnt always appreciated. The idea of "mermaids" is a new trend in baseball that a lot of teams are trying to pick up on. Its actually more for the little girls that dream of being dancers then the "haters." If it is any concern to you, i have been dancing since i was 2 and there is no way that they picked me for my looks. Included in the audition is a interview because they only pick intelligent girls. All girls are going to school as well studing mainly things in the medical field like myself. Its just a fun side job to have that is an amazing experience for all of us. I know all the people that are hating are probablly doing so because they wouldnt mind being at every home game to represent such a wonderful team. I respect every1's opinion but i would just like you to possibly open your eyes and appreciate some of these girls. We go without respect sometimes because people dont realize how much work we put into this, including the 81 games and practices. Give us a chance. Talk to us, were normal intelligent people that love fans. We go to the games for the fans, especially the little kids. Another thing, the orange outfits were not picked by us. Orange is the new marlin color that will be HUGE this year. Mermaids or not, get used to it because it will stay. Also, the fish was not any way decided by us. We actually learned to love it. You think thats the only dancing we can do? COME ON, we dont like it any more then you do. LOTS OF LOVE, mermaid 04 05! xoxo
