Gordon is locking up the 6th man of the Year as we speak..

Very entertaining game.. gotta admire the way the Heat are playing without Shaq

Gordon did a great job, but if Shaq is there-it's over.

They dominated the inside game, and they had us crossed up because everytime they'd drive, the next play they'd shoot from the perimeter.

I can't wait until Saturday--I'm going to the game and Zo will be with the team. That's going to be such an emotional moment when he comes in the game...

Hinrich played really bad.. one of his worst games of the year. Though his defense on Wade was pretty solid. The Bulls played very bad that game but turned it on at the end.

Bulls are a great young team. I have chosen two rookies out of this year's draft that I really like (mainly because they remind me of Wade):

Gordon and Josh Smith are going to be phenomenal within the next two or three years. I like both of their games, and Gordon seems the whole package. His defense is average, but he can work on it. All around, he's a great asset for the Bulls.

They have so many great young players--I'm a little jealous of their future...And imagine if Jay Williams comes back---wow. I think you guys need to resign Curry at all costs. Big men are hard to find these days. You can get a Deng or Hinrich in the draft easily--but a Curry is much more difficult to sign.

I hope Shaq is back in the next few games--but if not, it's not a big deal. He'll be back before the playoffs--even an ACL tear won't keep him out more than two or three months. Worst case scenario is that he'll be back by middle of May (although I am not an expert WHATSOEVER).

Good luck to the Bulls, and hope they catch that 5 seed (though doubtful) so we can play them in the 2nd round. It'll be a fun, fast-paced series.

Well.. I'd rather have the 6 seed. ;)

Personally, I think Deng is going to be a superstar... i love Gordon off the bench.

Pax said today they'll look to lock up Curry and Chandler in the offseason... so that was good news.

Also, there's been some chatter going around with Michaels Redds name involved.. *prays*

Anyway, if Shaq is out for a couple games, the Heat will be fine... still play a good style of bball without him.

And you have to understand that when they practice, their set plays involve Shaq, and half the plays are called for him. So if they know he'll be out, they'll set up plays that better suit the other players--and make more picks for Wade.

Ya, the 6th seed is an enigma. Nobody ever wanted that more than this year. But I have to admit, if you guys got the 6th seed and played Detroit in the semi's, that would be a fun watch as well.

I just hope the Heat don't mentally fall apart if Shaq is out for a prolongued period. We'll find out tomorrow--the most anticipated day since MJ retired :)

how does Josh Smith remind you of D Wade?

Gotta scratch my head on that question...

Have you watched Smith play? They are identical, other than size. Smith has a decent outside shot, but takes the ball inside more than not. He gets close to the basket, and can finish well. He's also a prolific dunker and blocker (much like Wade).

Yes, Wade is more efficient and a little quicker in the paint, but Smith is still young and will only get better.

Oh and his court presence is similar to Wade. He knows what to do with the ball-and how to swat it away if it's comin against him.

I dunno, I just never figured Josh Smith as the same player as Wade

I dunno either...I guess I just get excited whenever he gets the ball, or makes a block. It's electric-just like Wade.

I think even though the Heat didnt get the win, Wade was showing the kind of superstar he can be, by taking the team on his back, and coming oh so close to victory, if only EJ could drain an open 3 but a great game and you cant win them all. Lets just hope now that the big man is ok.

O'Neal strained his left knee in the opening minutes after he went up for an alley-oop pass from Dwyane Wade and fell on Chicago's Othella Harrington. O'Neal stayed on the floor for several minutes holding his knee before being helped off the floor. X-rays were negative and he will be re-evaluated before Wednesday's game at Indiana.
