PBMarlin
I know it's only Spring Training and all. But still the Marlins are in dead last place in the NL with a 6-11 record. We were blanked again today, and for the most part our highly touted offense has looked anemic. What gives?
PhishPhan
Its only spring training quit being so negative! I mean its not like we are dead last in runs scored... oh wait... we are. :plain

PBMarlin
I know it's too early to hit the panic button. But still I would feel quite a bit better if we were 11-6 and leading the NL in runs scored.

MarlinFan10
It's spring training, it doesn't count. Speaking of which, I finally get to go to a damn game today after all the school and yesterday's math competition (we only got 2nd in Florida in Precal ). I get to watch the Orioles beat the Mets. Flag Man
I've been worried about the sick sticks. But, I think they will get healthier over the next couple of weeks. Now, I'm worried that there'll be no bench space for Dillon and Willingham. And I'm not comfortable with the bull-pen. I fear we will once again put our minor-league pitchers on the Frequent-Flyer program. Up and down, back and forth. I don't really care if we lose ST games (though I like fostering a winning attitude.) What bothers me is when we are not competitive. MarlinsChik305
I dont think theyre taking it too seriously because it is ST. But still, even though it looks bad now, the regular season is something different. When the players get healthy, hopefully things will improve. I expected a totally different spring though. Im surprised.
FIUMarlinfan
You cant really take those stats personal, the team is usually split up into two and starters do not finish up games. ST IMO is better used for evaluating the high minors guys and getting your pitchers at full strength again.
Malman
I place the blame for our dismal Spring record squarely on the shoulders of Super Joe Dillon and Josh "The Boy Wonder" Willingham. Oh how I long for the days of Abe Nunez and a winning Spring record.
Dodge
Just like the NFL preseason, the teams aren't playing to win, the players are playing for jobs.

Guess it doesn't speak well for all of our "prospects" either...who should be playing to win a job. ^end of rant^

Guest CHRISTYTOD
I'd rather never win a S.T. game and win the division - it means nothing, really. Look at the box scores and see who is actually playing every day. When the first pitch is thrown on Opening Day, it will be a completely different story. 14 days, 8 hours, 50 minutes and 47 seconds and counting..................
