Okay I am officially pissed.

I ordered MLB extra innings because I live in Baton Rouge, LA where everyone is an Astros, Red Sox, Cubs, or Yankees fan. So I bought MLB Extra Innings in HOPES that I would be able to see my Marlins play. I had to miss the game yesterday because for some reason it wasn't on, and its not on today either. I THOUGHT the game was going to be on ESPN but instead they are showing the f**king Cubs/Reds game. Straight up, I'm pissed.

Sorry just had to let it out.

All the PAX tv games (about 1/3 of all the games last year) are blocked out because Extra Innings is only Fox Sports channels.

MLB Extra Innings can only carry games featured on Regional Sports Networks such as FSN, YES, NESN, Turner South, and RSTN for example. Over-the-air networks like the PAX/Marlins Television Network are not allowed to be distributed according to the agreement by the owners.

The Marlins will have all 150 locally televised games next season on FSN Florida which means at least 150 games on MLB Extra Innings and in Florida and Southern Alabama via FSN Florida. The Rays will likely be moved to Sun Sports.

Anybody else have mlb.tv on the internet? It's half the price of mlb extra innings and if you have a cable modem it's well worth it. The picture quality isn't that bad not to mention you can watch games during university classes.

You also get the game if there is any coverage of it whatsoever :thumbup

I actually have Extra Innings so I can see most of the games on TV, but I have mlb.tv as well for those games on Pax.

Does that count only for home games? Because what if the game is also picked up by the other team's Fox Sports affiliate?

If tonight's game was on an RSN (other than CSN Philly and Cox 4 San Diego) it would be on MLB Extra Innings. The Nats have a contract with MASN, but MASN has no cable or satellite games worked out yet so no MLB Extra Innings.

If the Nats were on FSN South or CSN Mid-Atlantic, this game would be on MLB Extra Innings.

I was thinking about doing the internet thing, my friend got it and it is great quality. My problem is that I looked on the blackout zip codes list and my zip code is on there. I live in Tallahassee for God's sake. I can already watch all the FSN games on satellite, but it would be nice if I could watch them from any computer also. If anybody has it and lives in Florida could you please let me know if all the Marlin games are blacked out?

i dont think they blackout games,

I go to school in Boston, and i have mlb.tv to watch marlins games while im up here. When there is a sox game on, and i click on it, it plays no problem. Only games that have been blacked out for me have been the espn sunday night games.

I had MLB extra innings for all of last season and I thought it was well worth it. They usually let you see about 5 of 6 Marlins games per week at least. The ones that air on PAX in Florida are usually picked up by the opposing team's affiliate. So far this season tonight's game (4/18) has been practically the only one NOT on MLB extra innings.

Well its been two straight games (Marlins wins at that) that I've missed because they haven't been on MLBEI. I (the customer) better start seeing some return on my investment soon or I'm going to stay pissed. Luckily tomorrow night's game will be on per the IN DEMAND schedule.

I have mlb.tv and I got to watch the Marlins/Nationals games on Marlins TV, and last week I watched the Marlins/Nats games televised from masn. I have cable and was thinking of ordering mlb extra innings, but tehn changed my mine when I saw they the Marlins games was not on contantly. I think Direct TV is the best for mlb extra innings, they carry alot more games tahn most cable companies. My suggestions is to try mlb extra innings if you have a connection of 350 kbps or higher. is worth it. The best part is that you only pay 14.95 a month or 19.95 a month to have game day audio and mlb.tv

I don't live in Florida but I can tell you it will probably be blacked out. I am 7 hours north of Sacramento, and yet I cannot view any Oakland and San Fran games, which are another couple hours from there. Stupid? Yes, but there is nothing I can do about. I can understand Seattle, but come on MLB.

Also there is no blackout for mlb audio and occasionally I've noticed the blackout thing lets their guard down and I can sneak into watching Giants games. Doesn't happen much but it happens.

thats weird, mlbtv works the opposite for me. My zipcode says it is supposed to black out Red Sox games, yet i can watch them when they are on. Maybe it just applies to the red sox, who knows?
