A fire in a concession area of Pro Player Stadium Friday morning created about $6,000 of damage, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said.

When firefighters arrived at the stadium at 2267 NW 199th St. in Opa-Locka at about 6:04 a.m., the flames had already been extinguished by overhead sprinklers, said Lt. Eric Baum, a fire spokesman. Among the damage from the smoke, water and flames was spoiled food and ruined counters, he said.

It was probably Huizenga trying to collect insurance money or something :lol :lol .

How could a fire start around 6am? Who would be in the stadium around that time?

:w00t JP was probably cooking some breakfast :lol

Jack lit the cigar too close to the ovens.

I wonder what would happen if the stadium really was damaged and couldnt be fixed for a few weeks/months.....Where the Marlins would play... RDS?

The Founders Club concession people said there were a shortage of peanuts last night. Why?

I was implying that this fire in the concession area wiped out some of the comida.

why would they go play in that stadium. I mean the same amount of people would be there since South Florida fans ignore the good sports teams and support those pathetic dolphins. If the stadium was bad they would probablly switch the schedule and go on the road and play those teams and then come back another time when they were suppose to be on the road, at least they would do that before they would play at RDS. and ft.lauderdale stadium would be another possibility. (Think of the chicago thing last year where they made the schedule work out)
