July 25, 200323 yr Jupiter, FL ? The Florida Marlins announced Tuesday that Jupiter Hammerhead First Baseman Jason Stokes was the Organizational Player of the Month for June 2003. Jason appeared in 23 games for the month, registering 93 plate appearances. Jason had 31 hits for a .369 batting average, and his nine walks contributed to a .432 on-base percentage. He hit six home runs and drove in 28 runs, while also scoring 17 runs. Jason was also outstanding defensively, making just one error on the entire month. So far this season, Jason is hitting .265 with 13 home runs and an FSL-best 70 RBI. *Seems after a slow start hes back on track for either a promotion this season or next to AA. Its amazing that a power hitter like Jason could muster an OBP of .432 :cool :cool
