The Weather Channel is reporting that there is a high chance of heavy snow showers throughout the day today in Denver. If this holds true, the Marlins and Rockies may end up playing either a triple header in South Florida or two double headers in South Florida from May 6 to May 8. This would not be a good thing for the Marlins. I just wanted to alert you guys about this possibility.

Thanks Cape wannabee.....by the way, their not playing a tripleheader and whose saying that two DH's are bad.......

hey fish i think this is piganator under another name...

Apparently Weatherman is the only one who reads the newspaper here.

The Herald and Sun-Sentinel both report a second game, if any at all, is highly unlikely today. They'll try to get it in. The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain Times speculate the game(s) will be made up on the common off-day of May 5th in Denver or during the May 6-8 series in Miami.

Triple headers arent even allowed I dont believe. Who would want to sit through 10 hours of baseball, even worse 10 hours of the rockies

Don't know about that. Last one happened before WW2. It's possible. Very slim chance given the transportation options we have. Not to mention the off-day before.

Certainly not a reason to jump on the guy though.

I hope Jack pushes Smith up to Game 1 if the weather looks really bad, it'd be tough burning both AJ and Al for two games that weren't even played. Get the other guys some extra rest for their starts, and then everything evens out.

So basically surrender game 1 and give AJ 20 minutes to prepare for a potential game 2 or disturb the entire rotation's schedule?

nothing is written in baseball. We may as well see AJ surrender 10 runs and Smith throw a gem.

I can bet we'll see Mr. Bump today and a rise in his ERA.

considering how pathetically bad the rockies are outside of coors, we should all be hoping for snow to cancel tonight's second game.

oh, and by the way, snow isn't forecast until night time.

I don't think it's ever a good thing to play that many doubleheaders in a short span. It sure wasn't good for us last year. Because while the Rockies will have to go through the same thing and worry about how they're going to get all those innings, it will leave both teams in pretty terrible shape for the next series.

I hope they get them in today.

Any hardcore Marlins fan would love to. And you're looking at it with the glass half empty, it's not 10 hours of the Rockies, it's 10 hours of the Marlins.

10 hours of anything might be too much. I could handle a double header, not a triple header
