There are usually 10 or more these days at any given time. I'm sure we have some high profile visitors...

Anyway, it's a shame that Cabs will lose his job after being hot like this but that's the way the cookie crumbles. If this trade occurs, Cabs has to go down to AAA because White will not be benched. Not a chance. Cabs will be back in September though I'd assume.

I think the out of the blue Cardinals/Pirates deal now has the most chance of happening...

Yeah, I was just reading that. Alright, still what I said about Cabs holds true. Having Drew is an interesting proposition but is he needed?

Acquiring White-for-Castro might be good for the team, so what if Castro leaves, i know he hits for power and will help us next year, but you have to look on the bright side, there's already a catcher in the minors who's suppose to be one of the best in the minors, so just in case Pudge goes to another team, next year @ least we have another catcher to help us along the way. If White is acquired, there is a good chance that Cabrera is not going back to the minors since he's already proven in the last 10 games that he deserves to stay in the majors, and maybe Banks will go back to the minors. I know, what's the point in getting Rondell White?, but if the Marlins want to make the playoffs @ least, White is a guy we can depend on, he hits with power and he's one of the best players on the padres squad, just like in '97 when we acquired Daulton and Counsell, and Counsell scored the game winning run in Game 7.

Another good trade scenario is the issue of Scott Sullivan, and just so people know we're in good hands trying to get him, and he's good for a 7th inning man, just in case the pitchers last less than 7 innings of work. As long, as I wish they can trade Almanza, Nunez, or Neal those three will most likely be involved in that trade, or maybe even Robert Stratton the AAA guy, whose hitting .232 with 30 HR, and 75 RBI, like I know he's not going to start if he's promoted, so just trade him, we wouldnt regret it.

We get Drew, and our offense is much more legitimate. Ideally, we would acquire Giles, but Drew is not a whole lot worse than Giles. Drew is lefthanded, has very good power and speed. I like Cabrera a lot, and I am inclined to sit tight with him playing LF everyday, but if we get Drew, we get some more ability in the overall talent pool (which is good for future moves) and we get more stability. I like this idea of getting Drew, I think he is primed to bust out of St. Louis and be the player he is supposed to be. I dont think La Russa has been good for his development.

Same here mostly...

I would be confident in Cabs if we didn't make a trade and stuck with him, but I don't think some know hoe good JD is... Drew is the biggest concelation prize to Brian Giles. I could tell you why, but I'd just be repeating Jonnylons... Drew would be a great addition and I'd love it, but I wouldn't care if he didn't come.

Journalists roam the boards all the time.

I wouldn't be suprised if Beinfest came here, to the "official" ones, or ESPN to get fan feedback on things. I really wouldn't be shocked...

If not Beinfest then the Assistant GM or someone.

Did any of you see baseball tonight yesterday peter gammons said that the marlins were gonna give ray castro :o for rondelle white :w00t ,also they said rondelle will be heading over here in the next 48hours! :w00t

What BBTN were you watching? Gammons was talking about deals that looked very real. The White deal is one of what, 5 deals that could happen very realistically for the Fish?

Don't put stock into what Gammons says, put stock into what the factual reports say (ie: AP newswire)
