July 29, 200322 yr Lets see, that report was by the same guy that said Lowell would be gone by the All-Star break? I don't want to give up on the future 10 years for a one shot run. We've been through it before. If it is an insignificant loss to the future needs of the team, then okay. but I for one would like to know that the replacement parts are in place for this team to play like this for years to come.

July 29, 200322 yr I dont want White. I am not all that thrilled about him, he is a mediocre player at this point and cannot carry a team. Castro, however, could be a very vital offensive player - especially considering he is a catcher. Catchers with his offensive ability are rare these days. Keep him, and win out with Cabs. It would be smarter for this team to keep Cabs in LF, keep getting him experience and try and win with what they have. The Marlins dont have to win it all this year, it is going to take a long period of winning, not just one season, to repair the damage done to this market. If we are going to pull the trigger on a deal to help this team win, get serious and go for a player with more - Giles - or even Guillen or Drew.

July 29, 200322 yr Journalists roam the boards all the time. I wouldn't be suprised if Beinfest came here, to the "official" ones, or ESPN to get fan feedback on things. I really wouldn't be shocked...
