I know it may not seem right but never once on any ballot does it say to vote for who is having the best year, right?

If you wanna complain about the Cardinals vote totals do it. Afterall, since this stupid All Star Game gives homefield advantage to the winner for the W.S. I'll vote over and over again for the player/players that will give the NL and the Cards the best shot of winning. If that means we have to take the whole Cards team, I'd do it. TLR is the manager too.

Like I said it may not be the right thing to do but if that damn homefield advantage thing means a lot I'd rather just go ahead and win the game.

I also love how everyone is mad DLee isnt leading Pujols.. Guess what.. There's something called a DH this ASG, so Pujols and Lee will both be starting.. :notworthy

i updated my picks for the all star team, using the leading vote getters...

*= only on the team because they're leading in votes

**=only on the team because of the one player from every team rule

i updated the team with the current leaders:

C. Mike Piazza*

1B. Albert Pujols

2B. Jeff Kent*

3B. Scott Rolen*

SS. Nomar Garciaparra*

OF. Carlos Beltran*, Jim Edmonds, Ken Griffey Jr.*

P. Jake Peavy

C. Ramon Hernandez, Mike Matheny

1B. Derek Lee, Carlos Delgado

2B. Ryan Freel

3B. Chipper Jones, David Wright

SS. Clint Barmes

OF. Bobby Abreu, Miguel Cabrera, Adam Dunn, Brian Giles

SP. Pedro Martinez, Roger Clemens, Brett Myers, Dontrelle Willis, Mike Hampton, Victor Santos**, Mark Redman**

RP. Trevor Hoffman, Jason Isringhausen, Brandon Lyon, Chad Cordero,

By team:

all-star voting is gay

Yup...exactly what I was saying.

4. Jeff Bagwell, Astros 132,469

5. Carlos Delgado, Marlins 106,632

Mientkiewicz .206 7HR's 20 RBI

The second coming of the Crack epidemic is upon us...

Also I though Nomar was out trhough the All-Star break.

Pujols over Lee is straight bull s***. I hate fan voting and it should be completely canned.

It may be bull s*** but the fact is despite Lee having a better year I doubt most fans would rather have Lee on their team than Pujols.

blame Cubs fans. They have the numbers to over take any voting.

Take the voting away from the fans again, they don't deserve it.

Bingo. That's why I don't even bother anymore

WOW!! Some of those really tick me off...wow...Nomar...Griffey...what the heck is wrong with these people!! I would even take Jason Bay over Beltran and Griffey...but Miguel is definitey more deserving than all 3 of them! And what about Bobby Abreu??

how can the cubs fans get nomar in there but not DLee

Griffey isnt that bad this year since he's kicked it up a notch.. He's hitting .267 with 8 hr's and 36 RBI's.. Granted his BA isnt that great but it's not like he's as horrible this year as some would like to think. He's popular anyways.

It's not "bull s***" because it's not like Pujols is putting up Mike Lowell numbers. Pujols is still putting up great numbers, just not as good as Lee's. Either way, I will bet anyone here 100 bucks that by the end of the season Pujols will be better than Lee in at least 4 out of these 6 categories: BA/OBP/OPS/HR/RBI/R

this isnt the "Who Would You Rather Have On Your Team" Game

Pujols:

.327 | 12 | 42

Lee:

.380 | 17 | 50

Obviously Lee's numbers are better, so he'd deserve the starting spot...but Pujols plays on a much better team and as a fan Id much rather like to see Albert play then Lee. Just my .02

How is Reds SS Felipe Lopez not in the top 5 in voting among SS.???

Here is his stat line

. F Lopez

CIN SS 40 146 27 43 14 0 8 25 81 14 27 4 2 .352 .555 .295

Among NL SS he is 5th in BA, 5TH in OBP, 1st in SLG., 7th in runs, 2nd in doubles, 1st in homers, 1st in OPS and 2nd in RBI's and he has only made 2 errors all year. And he's played in nearly 10 less games then most full-time SS because we were messing around with Rich Aurilla for about the first 2 weeks of the season, and STILL he isnt even top 5 for SS, please.
