June 3, 200521 yr Correct me if Im wrong, but hasnt Duke gotten 1 hit in his last 20+ at bats? We must have a major termite problem in Florida becuz something is eating away at our hitting. I hope he comes around soon, its bad enough we have 2 of our top players in such a bad hitting funk, 3 makes it 1/3 of our offense on a in-game basis. :plain

June 3, 200521 yr Over the last two weeks his average has fallen from .336 to .273 Hopefully he comes out of this slump sometime soon.
June 3, 200521 yr He usually starts off the season hott and then cools down anyways...sort of like Willis who is 1-2 in his last 3 starts and has cooled down a bit as well. Anyways, the reason why he's good at the plate is because he gets the ball in play a lot, does a good job of moving the runners over, and makes the pitcher work a lot. Aslong as he does that I'm happy with him. In my book he doesn't need to hit over .300-he's a catcher.
