Your 3rd Place Florida Marlins

Featured Replies

First of all, we are lucky to be 1 game behind first place. We have played like crap (pitching, defense and offense). We have imploded on key moments of the games, dropping 8 of the last 10 games.

We are better than this, and there is no excuse to continue on this slump. There is too much talent on this team. One thing I know for sure, we can't possibly play any worst.

Easley needs to play every day, until he gets in a slump. Lowell must ride the bench, he is hurting us too much. Switch Castillo and JP in the line up, and play Matt T every 3rd day to give LoDuca a bit more rest.

Hopefuly, this team looks different tomorrow and there is a 2nd air and a new begining.

I'm guessing JP, Lo Duca and Lowell should all sit then because they are all hurting us too much. As is our pitching.

- LoDuca should get more days off, but he isn't in a year long slump like Lowell

i belive in them, soon the slump will be over and our marlins will be back to their selves.

Even good teams go on some skids during the season but this is starting to be a little reminiscent of last year. It seems like in that one key point during the game, we don't make something happen and the other team does--like last night when we had the bases loaded in the 8th, then the Nats come through in extras. I definitely agree on resting Paul more because he tends to fade in the 2nd half and Treanor's hitting well anyway so why not?

Atlanta and Pits were 0-0 until the 9th inning, then Atlanta musters up one measly run to win it 1-0. Now they're in first place. :mad :

Good teams do not lose 8 of 10

Mikey needs to start getting splinters on his butt. This is getting out of hand. And I can't believe JP has been slumping a lot. He usually does it for a few games and gets out of it but his has been going on for quite a while as well.

Switching JP and Luis could be a problem as JP is slapping everything on the ground right now and would hit into a lot of DPs..

I agree that Jack has been overusing LoDuca.

Especially against bottom of the division teams.

This reminds me too much of the 2nd half of last season.

You know how we can start winning?

...Stick Leiter in the pen.

I dont think LoDuca has been overused, i think Jack was giving Treanor too much playing time.

And bad teams lose 9 out of 11.
