If you want Lidge, more cigars and sacraficed farm animals will be needed.

I'd prefer you lifted Lowell and Pierre!

Good Guys Win :)

Now let's keep it up for more than a game

Tonight's win was brought to you by D-TRain, Carlos, Jones, and of course, a special appearance by JoBu!!!!!11

Early candidate for Dead FIsh: Enc

Does the man seriously have to hit .500 to get some love?

1 for 2 with 2 walks, a .750 OBP for the night. He scored two of the times he was on base. He had a rough night in the field, yes, but he rarely does that and he's giving plenty with the bat. He's been the stud with runners on and now he's setting the table too. Leave the guy alone.

Did you miss the game?

Sure he had 2 errors, but also made a great catch on the foul ball and had a very solid night at the plate.

I'll take .278/.359/.485 (4, 3, 3 among regulars), 8 homers (3), and 37 RBI (2) any day.

Throw in the fact that when no one is hitting with runners on or in the clutch, Enc has done this:

.323/.402/.566 - Runners On

.373/.458/.667 - RISP

.357/.455/.714 - RISP, 2 outs

.625/.625/1.500 - Bases Loaded

.300/.481/.400 - Close and Late

Enc for Dead Fish? He's the second best hitter on the team thus far.

Lucky for Enc, the runner didn't get to 3rd on that catch... and that the Fish held on to win this game. He might've hustled towards the end of the game, but early on, he wasn't sharp...Early candidate doesn't mean Winner Lock...sheesh...just means his 2 errors could land him on the list...sorry to offend the Enc lovers...I'm not talking about what he's done all season, just tonight

SIDE NOTE: Read the game thread, how many people were pissed off at Enc's defense before the 8th inning?

I just don't get some of these haters.

SOrry, I'm not an Enc fan...I'll cheer him when he does well, but I don't have as much confidence in him as I do other guys in the line-up

Yes, but everybody hates Enc and loves the "mighty" Mike Lowell.

:plain

Just got back from the game and there was a definate different feel for these guys tonight. Carlos was just awesome and they were getting good pitches to hit (Cabs missed two by just a few). Anyways, great win!! :thumbup

Btw, what was the rule on the foul ball in which Juan Enc caught and went over the wall? Everyone in my section didn't know what the heck happend.

I love how you disregarded the rest of his post....

I think that because Enc left the field of play Boone was only allowed to tag for one base.

Thanks Juanky :thumbup I figured thats what it was, but I heard so many things going back and forth that I wasn't sure.

Went to the game. Was pleased with Enc's hitting. But damnit, that was the most lackadasical (sp?) play in right field I have seen in a long time for the first 7 innings. My god, he led to all four runs charged to the DTrain. But other than that, man Delgado is a beast. And I got treated to a monster blast. :)

I know its blurry, but this was a picture of Delgado's 3 run HR:

Btw Beinfest, did you see Alex Fernandez? I was sitting in Section 145 and know he was sitting right behind the dugout. I even kinda ran into him but didnt want to bother him since he had his son there.
