June 10, 200521 yr He needs to start while he's hot. I think if we trade Juan E. and a prospect for a good SP, then we'll start him.
June 10, 200521 yr Okay, so Willingham's bat has won me over, but the question remains, where are you going to play him? He either catches or DHs, getting virtually no time in the outfield. Is it really worthwhile to jettison Treanor, who has performed well this season as backup catcher, so Willingham can sit on the bench, or perhaps worse, trade Encarnacion and put the kid in right field where he could be a defensive as well as potentially offensive liability? I don't have the answers, and I don't pretend to but one has to be impressed by his performance so far this season.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see what Willy can do. But I would hate to see him on the bench to replace a player when we are 0-8 on a game, etc.
June 10, 200521 yr I'd prefer to trade Pierre and move Encarnacion to center. From a study rferry did our staff seems to lean groundball anyway.
June 10, 200521 yr I think that Willingham will be traded. Willingham, Lowell, Pierre, and Encarnacion are all prime candidates to be dealt. Maybe AJ?

Juan is highly overvalued for his speed anyway. Trading him away would be a wise move, IMO. He's gonna get a ton in arby anyway.
June 11, 200521 yr Hammerin' Josh having another good night tonight 2-3 with a double, single and a walk. He's now hitting .349. His OBP creeping towards .500.
