What's our highest attendance this year?

Featured Replies

I'm assuming opening day was the highest this year? Or was it Dontrelle's Saturday game vs the Cubs?

i just high-tailed it over to the stadium on my lunch break to get tickets.

This was 12:30 and the place was already packed. there were hundreds and hundreds of people there already buying tickets.

Sampson was there doing an interview with Channel 7...

We were all yelling in the background "open up some more ticket windows!!!"

DTrain's game against the Cubs drew a walk-up of around 9000, this could approach that one. Thank god they finally opened up another ticket office at gate F or I wouldn't have had time to wait...

37,137-opening night

I knew it was 37K, CapeFish.

I think that the real capacity IS in fact 36K, but they opened more sections up for opening day because they were prepared to. They'll be prepared to do it again tonight.

u sure ? i think the capacity is around 40-42k IF the entire top bowl all around was sold out, and the entire bottom bowl was sold out, the biggest possble capacity would be a little mkore than 60K.

No, it's a little more than 60K, because there are sections you can't open up.

remember that a section of seats that are folded in behind the teal tower are used for fins games but not fish games.

Same for centerfield.

Prop Player for Dolphins games is 75,000.

The MOST for Marlins games is 64,000 I believe.

I will be jumping for joy with 49,033 (Bank One Ballpark sellout) there tonight.

But a Pro Player sellout I will take anyday :D It is very likely they will have to open centerfield like during Big Mac's 61 homerun chase season when he came to town.

They can't due to saftey stuff...

But they can open the entire upper bowl, which is better...

What safety stuff?

BTW, largest baseball layout capacity at PPS is 67,204 which was the attendance of Game 7 of the 1997 World Series.

What safety stuff?

There's an open gap with no protective railing all the way at the end, and other things have to do with it as well.

I heard it also affects a batters vision of the ball if people sit in centerfield

Which is why the skinny blue scoreboard is in LF and not CF...

If you look in the upper deck on the far side of the field, you can see small black things that shoot off fireworks after wins. It's possible these could not be opened.
