You people are looking at it the wrong way!!

It is not essential that we take over 1st place in the Wild Card right now at the end of July! We'ew going to be fighting the Phils to the end, and right now Philly is essentially doing us a favor by knocking the Dodgers (another contender) down the standings. As the Dodgers continue to slip, that is one less team that we have to worry about. Philly is a divison rival we can take care of ourselves.

True,we face the Phillies in two more series.(Mabye even more I'm not for sure.).

We have been killing them this year we can take care of them when we play them.

i would love it for the astros to wear the " pajamas" during this series

i dont hav a doubt in my mind that we'll pass them...i jus hope that when we do we can stay in front of them

I agree.

According to ESPN's RPI rankings the Marlins have played the 5th hardest schedule in MLB to this date.

"the umps are out to get us, the league is out to get us" what? we were screwed, the fifth hardest schedule, that's pretty hard for 30 teams.

Why can't all the schedules be even?

Why can't all the schedules be even? the only reason we have the 5th hardest schedule is because we play in arguably the best division.

exactly fran, and that is why we are such a good team. But we need to fix the schedules to level them out for all the teams.

You can't do that though, because you don't know for sure who the good teams are going to be, and also you can't control who's in your division.

You cant predict who will suck and who will be good except in obvious cases...it will all even out after this stretch...I mean we have played all .500 teams the past 10 or so series??

that is why we need to play every NL team the same amount of times, but it really doesn't bother me that we have the 5th hardest schedule. It just shows that we are a good team :p

CapeFish,

In the end it almost all levels out.

All NL teams play each other.

The only problem is the inter-league series.

At least they gave us 3 series against Milwaukee instead of Chicago or St. Louis. They could have, but they didn't.

Luckily our schedule starts to get easier after the Houston and St. Louis Series' except for when we have to go SF and Colorado. That stretch lasts until mid september when we play like 13 straight games against the Phillies and Braves.

Phillies and Braves :mischief2 hopefully we will continue playing well by then. We close out at New York, nice place to clinch, similar to Montreal in 1997.

Colorado are nothing compared to us.

Marlins don't play well at Coors, beware, we must beat one of the best home teams in their home. We need to pitch very well there.
