June 24, 200521 yr Justin Webb Scouting: I like the kid. He wasn't exactly a star up at school but he was fun to watch. A decent fill in for our star who graduated the year earlier. Ok catcher. Threw out about half the runners who tried him. His bat was nothing too special but he got as far as my dorm a few times. I'll be rooting for him. Go Heels!
June 26, 200521 yr Im guessing Matt Goyen has signed to cause he appears on jamestown jammers roster. http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/gen/sta...t=t_ros&cid=489 Im hoping the Marlins sign the following Aaron Bates, Chris Leroux, Kyle Marlatt, Logan Morrison, and Matt Jones. Not sure weather Morrison and Jones will sign cause they where late round picks out of high school and might opt to go to college and improve there draft stock. But we should sign Leroux who had Tommy John, (plus fastaball when healthy), Marlatt and Bates who scouts compare to Chris Shelton.
June 26, 200521 yr Author I'm with you on Adam Bates and Chris Leroux(bigtime arm) but here's a name I'm hoping for in the late rounds they sign is OF Michael Thomasson. The guy is a h*ll of an athlete and thanks on Goyen this guy is a very good lefty, i'm glad he sign
June 27, 200521 yr 5 catchers signed so far. Nice to see us shore up an area of weakness in our system.
June 27, 200521 yr it looks like they are trying to nail down the HS first then take on the College players second more. I like the stradegy and I cant wait to see a few play if they do so up in jupiter
