Jeff made his first appearance for the Gulf Coast Rookie Ball Team today.

He started and pitched 2 innings giving up 0 hits 0 runs 2 walks and one strikeout. He still hasnt given up a run this year.

maybe we should put him in doubleA.

2 walks, I thought he was the all undestructable Jeff who K'ed everyone. Kid needs to stay in the minors until he learns to control his ego.

what are you smoking?

in 2003 he has not allowed 1 run !!! :w00t

he is hitless!

he is hitless!

so he walked two people. And thats a big jump going from rookie league to AA.

lol....you people make me wonder if you know anything at all about baseball. :plain

LOL! If he continues to pitch well, he might make it up to Low A-Ball...He wont even make it to Jupiter this season. Will be nice to see him in Spring Training though next year.

what, like Penny?

Kid's like 18 or something, gimme a break. I'm going to go out on a limb and say if he his performance is going to matter a hell of a lot more than his ego....

I agree! Eventually he'll get rocked, and mature after that. A 5 run inning on him should definately straight him out. ;)

There is no need to rush this kid! We have no hurry, we need to make sure he gets rocked and dominates at every level he is at before he moves up to the next one like a player in normal development is supposed to.

Hello young Jeff Allison. See you in 4-5 years.
