Poor Dumpster

Featured Replies

Ryan Dempster will undergo arthroscopic surgery next week to remove a bone chip in the back of his right elbow. It's likely that Dempster will miss the rest of the season. The Reds will probably non-tender him this winter, making him a free agent. He'll end up taking a large pay cut from the $3.25 million he made this year.

his career needs some help

Someone will sign him cheap, and he'll be back to his old form one day. I just can't believe what a steal that trade turned out to be.

Dempster a Marlin... again?

only if he does good

Personally, I tihnk he's been so bad because of the Great American Launching Pad. The Pro would be very kind to him, as it used to be. And for $500,000-1 Mill., why not?

Dempster is going really bad! I wish he was the old Marlins he used to be....We can maybe sign him but he has to be cheap.

He's gonna come at a BIG discount, and I still think the talent is there. His slider is still nasty...

his slider isnt nasty anymore..... it is pathetic

no thanks

What, did he forget how to throw it?

It's always been great, and it still is pretty damn good.

I think it would be a safe $750,000 risk...

I think it would be a safe $750,000 risk... no its not what it used to be.... it sucks now. But for $300,000, bring him on.

And if he's low price, why not take the chance?

He didnt lose his slider, well actually he did a little but is that he is leaving it out over the plate. He doesnt have control of it no more....

It still moves as much as it used to. Like AJheat said, he just leaves it over the plate.

He can be great again...

How do you all of the sudden just stop throwing your best pitch well? Doesn't make any sense...

cant argue that..... but it's happened

why couldnt Chuck Knoublach no longer make a decent throw from 2nd base to 1st base?.... why would a gold glover turn into a moron on the field?

s*** happens

You have to feel sorry for Knoublach. Its so weird how he could no longer make such an easy throw.

What the hell happend to Chuck? I remember he was a FA during this off-season, and nobody picked him up. I never heard anything about him retiring...

I think if Dempster came back his mechanics could be worked on and he could be a good reliever out of the pen. Thats where I have him in All Star Baseball
