Posted July 1, 200519 yr Currently the marlins are 4 games over .500. We play the mets 3 times and then have 7 home games before the all star break. How do you think we will do? I think we should definetly finish atleast 6-4, but 7-3 is not out of the question if we get good starts from AJ and Beckett. Either of the records mentioned above put us at 6 or 8 games over .500 which is not back at the all star break.
July 1, 200519 yr Against the Brewers and Cubs at home, I think we will do pretty well even with Prior and Wood pitching again.

Seems we've been fortunate to miss some of the other team's Aces lately....Smoltz, Martinez and now Prior....which is just the opposite of earlier in the season.
July 1, 200519 yr Author we cant really complain about upcoming match ups. We also will send out Willis and Burnett vs the mets, burnett and beckett vs the brewcrew and willis and beckett vs the cubs. We always have a pretty good chance to win when those guys pitch. If we can get some decent run support we should be fine.

I know the Mets have faired pretty well against us this year, but I think we might be on an upswing right now so I feel that we will take 2-3 from them at a minimum.
July 1, 200519 yr do we get sheets also? What about wood and zambrano? I like facing Maddux, we rock him always now
July 1, 200519 yr Personally, I don't think this is an easy set of games. Cubs are playing better, the Brewers are no slouches this year, and going to New is no picnic. Another split, maybe you win two more than you lose, would in my estimation would be a major accomplishment.
July 1, 200519 yr 7-3, hopefully will get some run support, and Moe finally picks up that well deserved win.
July 1, 200519 yr I'm shooting for 6-4 (based on my 12-6 prediction with 18 left). But I won't mind if they do better!
July 1, 200519 yr I will be happy with anything above .500 so we can be at least 5 games above going into the break. I'll be extremely happy if we can somehow pull off 8-2!!! As will many people lol
July 1, 200519 yr 7-3 sounds great...winning all three series 2-1 835151[/snapback] of course you meant winning all three series..but 2-1/ 3-1/2-1 I believe all along we would be 46-40 at the all star break. But if we can pull off winning the final 10 in this fashion (by going 7-3)...that will be a great bonus and surprise and definitely alot of confidence going into the post allstar break stretch!
