mdbw
What a quarter ass effort on that hit of his. He could have walked into third if he'd even given a half-ass effort. You give up 4 runs and you better f***ing run round those bases if you hit the ball. This game should be 4-2, Pierre would have had a sac-fly instead of just a fly out. Trade this piece of s***, he has no heart. He will never live up to his "potential" When do we just say he sucks?
BIG Z
The thing i don't like about him is that he seems to play for himself he tries to strike everyone out..I also say trade his dumbass 91 Pitches thru 4 innings a.j get the f*** out of this team

STOP TRYING TO STRIKE EVERYONE OUT YOU JACKASS! Oh yeah and against the d-rays he was super laid back and he wasn't thinking about k'ing everyone why can't he just stick to that? mdbw
How do you have 12 strikeouts but still give up 4 runs? It's selfishness. He's just trying to strike everyone out and because of that, he's going to fail every now and then. He does not know how to control himself and pitch a good game. That game against the Devil Rays was no surprise. All of our pitchers succeeded in that series, give me a break. Get rid of Burnett. I wish we could somehow get Arroyo for him, lol. mdbw
how do you explain 14 Ks and we're losing by 3 runs??? He doesn't even try to help his own cause on offense either.
Guest Juanky
Why the hell is a pitcher supposed to be going from second to third? A f***ing pitcher? Have you people lost your mind? Well, Jack definitely has. AJ had Tommy John Surgery, so lets let him throw 125 pitches on a night where he obviously doesn't have control. Wake up old man, or you'll have two aces on the DL before you know it.

Just because he's a pitcher doesn't mean he can't do that. He's done it 2 other times this season. How the hell do you think we've lost our minds? You play to win! him on third would have produced a run because Pierre flied out to center in that inning, and guess what we are down by 1 run right now. jackarmstrong
this game just shows why strikeouts one of the most overrated stats for a pitcher. just get them out! all i care about for a starter is ERA and IP.

Watch the season go completely down the drain as 2/5 of our pitching staff is on the shelf because of needless injuries? I could see full well knocking any position player for not giving all out effort on all plays, I do it because that is plain and simple what they are paid to do. But AJ's role on the team is to pitch, not to stretch a double into a triple risking an injury. Sorry, but if you have to blame the pitcher for not running from second to third, the offense plain out sucks balls.

If only the D-train took some more care of himself on the basepaths. I cringe everytime he slides head first into something.
Gorick
What are the chances that AJ is going to get hurt RUNNING? Correct me if I am wrong, but most athletes tend to run.Let me guess, a slide would strain his hamstring or something..give me a break..not much of an athlete at all if you are thinking about the chances of him getting hurt while running. For that reason I love watching the D-train go all out..even though he "risks" injury (just like all the other players..)
Guest Juanky
I don't know, just ask Derek Jeter (who actually is supposed to know how to slide) who separated his shoulder and missed 2 months. That injury would be MUCH worse for a pitcher, because he has to use his shoulder 100+ times every fifth day. Couple this with a pitcher who has already had to have major reconstructive surgery on his arm, a player who isn't used to sliding at all (when was the last time he slid anywhere? He's gone in standing both times he's tripled), and you have some selfish and overzealous fans who have to find reasons to get angry for no f***ing reason. Gorick
The reason is that he failed to further help his team...its not really that big of a deal but the lack of effort is irksome, that is all
