July 7, 200521 yr What a relief is more like it. Seriously, the bullpen did an amazing job. We had a record 22 K's in the game. The pitching staff retired the last 28 batters....a perfect game within the game! It was one of the oddest wins I have seen. AJ had 3 K's, 3 walks, gave up 3 runs and 3 hits on 33 pitches in the 1st inning. That was odd.
July 7, 200521 yr When I heard that we had a perfect game inside the game...that's crazy. Props to the bullpen and AJ for settling down after a rough start, and to the offense for climbing out of a big hole.
