cubangm
Player IP H R ER BB SO HR ERA Vargas 7.0 6 2 2 2 11 1 2.84 This is his line so far. I think he can help the Marlins right now as a reliver coming out of the bullpen but I prefer he finish the year in AA. I been very impressive by Messenger today and Resop yesterday. Hopefully Jacks starts giving them the ball in more diffcult situations then starts starts giving Aguila and Williangham starts.

Guest FlummoxedLummox
Putting this kid in the bullpen, who has shown consistently that he can start, is the worst thing for us and him.

Idont Havaname
Willingham is out till possibly September and Aguila was the callup to replace him. :banghead 846891[/snapback] What's wrong with Chris? In the Jack Regime, neither one plays any position, save for AAA, anyway.
WildMarlinMan2003
1- Willis 2- Beckett 3- Burnett 4- Olsen 5- Vargas 6- Moehler....when we trade Burnett With that rotation....it would be NASTY. Leiter blows now- I think we should give Jason Vargas a chance.

Ralph
Even though Josh Johnson has done pretty bad his last few outting I believe the organization will go with him efore they go to Vargas.
WildMarlinMan2003
Vargas is closer to MLB ready than Johnson. Johnson needs another year.
Fishfan79
dont both really need another year? I think both could look at next spring as the chance to try out for hte major league team.
MrAndMrsFish
Although both could probably pitch in the show right now...it will be better for them to stay down there and get on the hill every 5th day at AA. Both of these kids are in the running for spots in the rotation next year.... Rotation could look like Willis Beckett Olsen Vargas Johnson very easily with the pending loss of AJ to free agency, not re-signing Valdez for next year and maybe moving Moehler (although he has been impressive this year) to long relief roll.. What do yall think?

Fishfan79
I think they will add someone in FA before they go with Olsen and another rookie. We arent the braves after all (who I believe cox sold his soul for his rookies to play amazing in the show). I wouldnt be surprised if they pull off the redman deal and keep him next year in the rotation. Pull up Vargas or Johnson next year along with Willis, Beckett and Olsen. that would be a good solid rotation, even if a bit heavy on the lefties
rferry
Only Jeff Weaver and Kip Wells are somewhat interesting free agents.

Fishfan79
I think AJ is going to toronto. We are getting that Chacin kid back and Vargas is taking over the 1 start for him. god we are gonna be heavy on the lefties. 4 lefty pitchers.
