Accord
D-Train got shelled in his last outing and his performance in the ASG wasn't exactly anything to write home about. Should there be concern for D-Train in the second half?

Afterall, he was facing a bunch of All-Stars in the All-Star game and I doubt he was giving it his all. I'm not saying he wasn't trying. Every pitcher has their ups and downs. I am sure he won't be quite as solid in the second half as he was in the first, but I think he will still do very well.
JonDigital
heh seriously he was up against 9 #4 hitters pretty much last night. i was thinking he would be lights out last night b/c usually when players face him for the first time they have no idea whats going on, then i rememebered they were allstars
Fishfan79
he is going to end up with 20 wins at least watch and be possible for the Cy if they dont just Hand it to clemens as seeming always Dont take anything into last night. That happens often out there really for all star games. Even so if you noticed he really struck out Texiera. He threw a perfect strike that was called a ball So really it should of been out anyways. :shrugs :

Hopefuly Beckett can pick up and fill the void, cause I think DTrain will be a bit tired during the 2nd half and won't be as stellar
TSwift25
He'll be fine as long as he doesn't have to pitch too much against the Braves.

Accord
Even though it doesn't count, it was Teixeira's first HR all season long from the left side of the plate.
QuickGold
It'll be interesting to see how Dontrelle performs in the second half. Thus far he's been a first half pitcher and it'd be great if he can drop that stigma.

PBMarlin
Dontrelle should do just fine the second half. Just don't expect him to get another 13 wins.
geemoney
I think he'll decline (it's almost inevitable), but not as much as in '03.
FishFan24
Man I hope he does well. He usually struggles after the ASB and this team is definately going to need him down the stretch. And I'm going to get my @$$ handed to me over on the IGN boards if he doesn't... :confused
rferry
Of course. Hopefully he'll do well this time. So far this season he had been pitching with greater consistency than in the past. His control has been better than the first half of last year and 2003, and the improving change-up should help.
