I didnt come here to argue with comments...but I did come here to post my thoughts on the game and interact with the other users on here (you know, the point of a message board?)...most of them know me well enough to know how I post and how I am regarding the Red Sox and baseball in general.

 

If you read my post...I said the Yankees rotation is play-doh not the pen. The Yankees have the best stopper in the game...bar none...Im not going to knock on the Yank bullpen.

 

And if you are getting your rocks off to some guy on a message board. I didnt start anything with my post...which you probably didnt even read as I gave props to the Yankees despite all the troubles they have had.

You DID come on here looking for a bit of an argument with your "Schilling: 1, A-Rod: 0" comment when it was irrelevant to what I posted. You did it just to take out some of your anger, and you directed it at me because it made you feel better. You can't deny it now. It's something in the past.

 

If you didn't read under my name I'm one of the first members of MarlinsBaseball.com and have been visiting MarlinsBaseball.com back to the ezboard days and I check this board quite often. You seem to be a pretty even keel fan most of the time. But, this time you made a comment just for the sake of taking a shot at someone, just to take the wind out of my sails because you wanted to make yourself feel better! With these teams not being the clear 2 superpowers this year, I actually find these games enjoyable to watch moreso now for some reason.

 

Knowing somebody might actually beat them and that these games mean something because it's not just gonna be them in the playoffs for sure anyways makes the games more exciting to me.

Passion - At least we can keep eachothers hatred-driven posts in check.

 

Craig - I think these games are also more fun, mostly because while it is still somewhat likely, it's not certain that both teams are going to make the playoffs. Winning the division may mean something.

That's freaking assanine Passion. Baseball is a team game played single player by single player. What's me first about him, the fact that he is hitting .320? The fact that he has 25 homers? The fact that he switched positions so to not upset team balance? The fact that he was willing to take a heavy pay cut to go to the Red Sox just to win? It's a singular-team game.

I just dislike his fake glossy personality he puts out and it always comes out when his feathers get ruffled...I dont like the fakeness...instead of shooting to be the media's darling boy, why doesnt he just be a real man?

i think schilling needs to get back to starting..they need him as their ace right now, especially when they want to make it in the post-season again, they can get bullpen help from somewhere else (maybe guardado(sp?))

I wasn't at all surprised that Schill got taken deep. After all...I almost caught a homer hit off him by Wilton Guerrero (!) in AAA a couple weeks ago. It was his first game back. We'll see how things go from here.
