August 12, 200520 yr Well, 1 run yesterday for the 33rd time scoring less then 3 runs in 114 games. That's nearly 30%. Anyway, they have gotten better, so I won't blame that entirely on the loss. My question is; Why was De Los Santos allowed to blow the lead? With him, if he gets lucky, you just sit him down and be thankful. You don't send him out until he blows the lead. Haven't we seen enough of that this year. It's like watching a Vic Darensbourg rerun. Also, when are the loyal Jack McKeon supporters going to get tired of the excuses and watching him sit leisurely on the bench like he could care less. Man, it's gotten to the point this year that if you go to the games at the stadium you see the players just going through the motions with whining, bitchy expressions on their faces and then when you see the games on TV, everytime something goes wrong, you see the shot of Jack with that clueless, "I don't give a f@#%", blank stare. Obviously nothing is likely to change, but if we don't make the postseason, I can't wait to see what Admin Beinfest does. Also, here's a suggestion for next year's Marlins promotional T-shirts: "Marlins Baseball 2006: NO EXCUSES-JUST WINS!!!" :whistle
August 12, 200520 yr well I guess you really don't know much about baseball. How can you blame Jack? He has already had to over use Villone because he and VDS are the only lefties in our pen right now. He had already used Villone too much and he has to use what the front office gives him. He can't NOT use VDS, VDS did not do his job and you want to blame McKeon for that? Al you ever do is botch bitch and bitch and you don't seem to have a clue.... I am not a McKeon lover, but you can't blame him for putting in the only lefty we have not named Villone to face the lefty portion of the lineup. We just don;t have that many options right now....... I blame the offense for not getting us more runs and putting our bullpen in this position. But whatever, posts like your piss me off and I shouldn;t let them get to me.... gooooos fraba... gooooooos fraba....
August 12, 200520 yr So, now we're starting to rag on McKeon's facial expressions? Would you prefer the 18 faces of John Boles? The guy had plenty of them, but it didn't translate into wins. I agree that de los Santos is not the answer to anything. I've compared him to Manzy. He's this year's version.... a journeyman relief pitcher who had success his first couple of weeks, giving us all false hope. Good comparison to Darensbourg though. My only guess is that Villone was unavailable due to either too much work, or Jack wanted to give him a day off after he walked the bases loaded the night before. With Jim Mecir on the DL, I don't think he had many other options to face a lefty hitter in Tracy. Let's not blame a loss or the attitude of the team based on the manager's facial expressions. It's funny, cause some managers are considered extreme professionals when they don't show any emotion. They are said to be "all business". "You can't tell whether they're down by 10 or up by 10." But when we struggle, people have to point it as a negative for Jack??? People really need to get off McKeon's case. He's done a hell of a job, and still is.
August 12, 200520 yr Your name is a misnomer "PossitiveHype", becuase you are quite possibly the most negative poster on this board.
August 12, 200520 yr i think everyone should just expect a post like this from NegativeHype after every loss. fish are playing great baseball right now. obviously something needs to be done in the way of a better option then VDLS. its too bad we hadnt gone after someone like Mike Remlinger when he was available

August 13, 200520 yr We lost a low scoring game again...PositiveHype, post here your negative thoughts this time, no need for a new thread.
August 13, 200520 yr Ridiculous. Absolutely no run support at all against an average pitcher. We can't lose games like this anymore. It is too close to the end of the season.
