He really isn't as fast as he used to be. I don't care about the pitch out. This is the time I picked to vent on it.

 

JP is down to 70% the last 2 years. The previous 3, 76%.

The thing I love about Vargas is, since he comes across the plate and into right handed hitters he jams a lot of hitters and induces a ton of pop-up outs. I think pop-ups are great cause they can't find holes like ground balls can. Vargas will be good for years to come.
