The "real" FAN
the Phillies b*tches once again. The pitching staff is scared to pitch in that ballpark. They better shake it off b/c the Phillies are now full of confidence against our staff and feel no lead is out of reach facing our pitchers. :kicknutz :owned :bottom

FutureGM
It's just one game. If we win the next two, it won't matter that much. I was happy that we took 2 of 3 from Washington, who we have problems with sometimes. The fact is, Burnett hasn't been himself lately. Heck, until 2003, we were their whipping boys.

Guest FishFanInPA
in 2001 I was at that doubleheader....i believe Looper gave up a homer in the 9th to lose one of the two games.

But I don't remember the Phils ever beating on us like we did for the past two years. Not even close.
Guest Moneyball
This was a month after I started watching and following the Marlins religiously (right after the Padres series to be exact). The team was on a hotstreak before that and "in" the playoff picture. The Phils pretty much knocked us out of the race. This is when the harsh reality of what it takes to watch baseball on a day in and day out basis at certain times hit me.

The "real" FAN
YES I think the Phillies are starting to handle us in the last six games(which Phillie has won 5 out 6) the Phillies have average 10 RUNS against our pitching and have won by an average of 4-5 runs, so yes I think the Marlins are becoming the Phillies b*tch. Like TSwift said back in 01' I think the Phillies won something like 12 in row against us.

industrialescampeon
I miss that stretch when the fish were like 20-1 against the Phillies. I think that was a carry-over from '03 to the beginning of '04; it was sweet. :notworthy

The Phillies OWNED the Marlins going 14-3 against the fish in 01' and 18-5 between 01' /02' at one point, so if thats not owning a team I don't know what is.
