MVPosey
Carpenter leads Clemens in most statistics, but that 1.78 ERA may be too much to overlook
Beinfest4Prez
And where is Dontrelle Willis? I think he deserves talk too. But of course, making an objective poll on here including all candidates of deserving manner is too much for you? That being said, Carpenter wins it right now. TSwift25
Carpenter's going to win, but Dontrelle is going to finish ahead of Clemens if this keeps up. Clemens has amazing numbers, but after nights like last night...it's tough to snub a 20 game winner.

Mabdul Doobakus
Yeah, you could argue Dontrelle over Clemens, if you wanted to...but I don't see any angle where you can take Dontrelle over Carpenter.

Iowa
You really get under my skin Mays24. Saying that Peavy deserves over DTrain is just stupid. This is the same guy who said Eric Milton should get more votes than Carl Pavano last year. You just make these polls and say all this stupid s*** to piss us off. GO AWAY Peavy has no place in this discussion.. and saying he is more deserving than DTrain is just showing your true colors and showing that you just say this stuff to piss us off. Carpenter, DTrain and Clemens stand so far out from everyone else. Take away that 15 day stretch from DTrain and nobody has outpitched him. Seriously, go away. Take away that 15 day stretch from DTrain and nobody has outpitched him. Seriously, go away. 937991[/snapback] DTrain has been awesome this year and personally I would vote for him behind Carpenter.. The thing is you cant take that 15 day stretch away but if you did your right.. But if your gonna take away 15 day stretches from Dontrelle you'd have to for Carpenter, Clemens and that's just not possible.. I say the same thing about Dontrelle as I say about Carpenter.. Any other year they would win.. I just have a feeling Clemens grabs it.
Iowa
The more wins Carpenter keeps racking up and Clemens ERA just keeps going up little by little makes me believe Carpenter will win. Right now, I might go: 1. Carpenter 2. Willis 3. Clemens
Iowa
I can already see what Mays is gonna say. Peavy has a ton of strikeouts and a better WHIP. Big freakin whoop. Well guess what, DTrain has 8 more wins and allows less runs per game. Why is this guy allowed anywhere near this site? All he does is piss people off. I would vote for Carpenter because he deserves it, but not adding Dontrelle to the poll is racist :mischief oh and he says that Peavy would deserve it more than Dontrelle why not make the poll with Carpenter as the sole option
El Guapo
Yes Clemens has a sick ERA but it's Carpenters award to lose. Everytime this guy is on the mound the Cards know there going to win and he has been sick his last 8-10 starts.....

Willis also has more losses than any of the other four guys, has the second worse WHIP, and is far behind in strikeouts and BAA
Iowa
Zambrano and Peavy should not be in the same sentence as Clemens and Willis. Period.
Guest Fritz
In MaysBadassBondsRoids defense, if Dontrelle was on this poll, he'd win 450-3-3 over the other two guys so I think it's right. Regardless, in most circles, it is Carpenter's award to lose.

Skully
Clemens' 11-7 record will hurt him. Unless he wins all of his remaining starts, he won't win it. Even then, how do you not give it to Carpenter? I agree with IowaMarlin... it'll end up like this.. 1. Carpenter 2. Willis 3. Clemens
Admin
Well Carpenter could have a rough last stretch of games...you never know. All I know is, if Schmidt was 13-12 with a 1.18 WHIP and 3.56 ERA, Mays24Bonds25 would still put him above Willis. He is doing the same thing on the Cardinals board, starting an MVP poll, with the 2 choices being Lee and Jones, leaving Pujols noticeably off.
