September 23, 200520 yr Even if we sweep the Braves we still have to worry about the Phillies.. They would have to lose most of the games so we could be in first. If we go 8-1, they'd have to go 6-3--not altogether impossible. Plus we have to count on the Cubbies and Cards doing some damage to the 'Stros, which is entirely possible. If we go 8-1, the Stros would have to go 4-5, which isn't likely at this point...But hey, you never know. One game at a time. TBS tonight. Be there or be square.
September 23, 200520 yr I say that if we beat Smoltz today we can go 8-1, but first, we need Cabs back in the line up and someone else, at least Luis back too. I said that same thing in '03: if we beat Prior, we beat Wood, and if we beat those two, we win the whole thing. And alas it happened!!!!

DLee makes a gold glove grab and gets a force out at the plate, Novoa Ks Taveras to end the threat. On to the 9th. Quesiton is... if we catch the Braves, do we make the playoffs? It is likely if we sweep the Braves twice. Of course it would also depend on how they do against Colorado and us against the Nats.

Well, if we sweep the Braves twice, it's likely that the Phillies also catch them, meaning we would be ahead of the Braves but battling for the Wild Card.
