September 25, 200520 yr Tennessee would beat any Big 10 team outside of OSU Im not impressed with Tenn. They would do alright...but not EVERY team. you guys really think OSU is clear above everyone else? They could lose just about any game on their schedule and it wouldn't surprise me. Hmmm... Let's see: Northwestern: No Indiana: Hell no Illinois: Gimme a break Michigan State, Michigan (IN Michigan) and I'll give Penn State and Minnesota some dap, but on the lower end. We're a better team than that. Potential 3rd or 4th in the country. As for the SEC... *pats on the back* Yeah, that conference is so sweet! They're in the same boat at the Big Ten. A lot of good teams, a few contenders, pretenders etc. To say one is better on any given day is retarded. No. Florida, LSU, Georgia, and Bama are all legit top 10 teams. Tennessee is a top 20 team. The Big 10 cant say that. Oh, I give them dap. I didn't express myself correctly. It's a down year for the conference. Big deal, it happens to every conference. Each season both's fans will be vying to claim dominance over the other. So who is the best conference Buckeye? Enlighten us. I'd say but I refuse to bite that bullet. COP-OUT
September 25, 200520 yr Im glad(I think) that IU is going into Wiscy next week as they are both undefeated... hopefully we give them a game
September 25, 200520 yr If OSU is really head and shoulders above everyone else, then I think it would only be because the rest of the conference is pretty bad. I mean your proof of OSU's superiority is a loss at home. I'm not saying anyone in the Big Ten is better. I'm just saying OSU's probably going to drop a couple Big Ten games this year.

My proof, I also posted about the Iowa game. And yes you can take something away from a loss considering they could have beaten the no. 2 team in the country if their TE makes a TD catch. They have the best defense in the country, bar none. Their offense is on the upswing. Im not going to pump up the Big 10, I dont think it is that great....again, that is why I would put OSU head and shoulders over the rest of the league. Make sense? A couple of conference losses? So you are saying 2 or 3, I just want to know for sure when I refer back to this thread in late November.

Against the second best team in college football! I don't see us dropping ONE Big Ten game. I said after the Texas game we looked head and shoulders above the rest of the Big Ten and I'm standing by that statement. Sure, we COULD drop one, but I don't see it. I don't even think we're the same team that played against Texas anyways, what with having an offical QB now.
September 25, 200520 yr The Big East is for real, yo. Definetly. Pitt at 1 - 3 and Rutgers are the true class of the NCAA

That's a good win, but just one of those isn't really proof of anything. At least not for me. I don't know anything about Iowa, so I can't really say much about it. I'm guessing the line on that game was at least a couple TDs...so, good win, decent opponent, but taking care of business like that at home is something any good team should do. For me, that doesn't elevate them above the rest of the Big Ten, head and shoulders. They haven't even hit the road yet. I'm saying they will probably drop a couple conference games, as in two.

September 25, 200520 yr Wyoming with a big 24 - 14 win, down in Ole Miss today. Very nice win to head into conference play where Utah seems more and more beatable.
September 25, 200520 yr Elon won 12-9 ...3-1 and Ga Southern next week On a side noteA&T's Marching band or whatever it is, is ridiculous...that sh*tty movie drumline was based off of them I think.

The talent on their defense, in my mind is the best. They held Iowa to -9 yards rushing and 127 total net yards. They have the best linebacking corps in the nation. Ill give you Virginia Tech...they are spectacular. They are with or slightly above OSU right now...So my bar none comment was a little irrational, but I would definitely put OSU's defense right now in the top 3 along with Florida. OSU has the top rushing defense in the nation, giving up 41 per game. And NC State? You mean NC State who gave up 31 points to the powerhouse that is the North Carolina Tar Heels? Please. And OSU's team defense is better then FSU's (13), Miami (25), and USC's (42nd)... Their scoring defense is better then all of those besides the Hokie's and Seminoles (only 1.5 points less). So yes, Id say that any argument about who has the top defense in the nation, OSU's name should be one of the first mentioned, and one of the last names to leave.

September 27, 200520 yr the vols do not look prepared for this game...they look nervous out there and wow that LSU crowd is really rocking.
September 27, 200520 yr Author Say hello to the no. 2 most overrated team in the country, the Tennessee Volunteers.
September 27, 200520 yr Say hell to the no. 2 most overrated team in the country, the Tennessee Volunteers. :confused Tennessee comin back strong. 4 to play. 24-21 Tenn in fg range
September 27, 200520 yr Author Say hello to the no. 2 most overrated team in the country, the Tennessee Volunteers. Good Call Passion. The Only Ten I See wins 30-27. :banghead
September 27, 200520 yr Not to make excuses, but LSU clearly just ran out of gas, which goes back to lack of conditioning, which IMO could go back to losing a lot of practices due to the hurricanes..... Just a thought.
September 27, 200520 yr Les Miles may just equal the new Ron Zook of the SEC! either way, if UF gets it done it doesn't matter what Tennessee does. It would've still been good to have UToothless with another SEC loss.
