September 25, 200521 yr God I hate Fox right now. 24-16 ATL and ATL has the ball with 1:30 left... PUT HTE FISH GAME ON.
September 25, 200521 yr It's only the third game of the season but this is gonna hurt if we choke this game away. Big difference between 2-1 and 1-2.
September 25, 200521 yr OMG, Fox is killing me....I can't believe this........ i cannot believe this bullsh*t broadcasting. Dolphins game is tied and Bills game=over. Why put bonus Bills coverage NOW over Fins??? What a waste of airtime. Watching ATL take a knee to end the game...great job, great. I want the Fins...Please show them now, thanks. OMG DID WE GET AN INTERCEPTION??
September 25, 200521 yr someone tell me what just happened, please. Fox going over game summary of the Bills game, which was bonus footage to begin with, instead of changing to Fins game... Pathetic. I guess we are about to win. Good job, Fins! Ronnie Brown 132 yards. Saban's words never wrang truer.
September 25, 200521 yr Author Good game by the offense today. Ronnie Brown should be exciting to watch this year. Buffalo lost, now we just the J-E-T-S to lose to be in first.
September 25, 200521 yr someone tell me what just happened, please. 2 minutes left, Carolina's on the Miami 43. Delhomme intercepted by Schulters, Miami drives down for the GW field goal. Miami wins, 27-24. And the Jets jost lost to the Jaguars in OT!
September 25, 200521 yr Ronnie Brown did good today, don't get me wrong, but I have to note that on his 50 some yard break he just ran it out of bounds at the end when he could have tried to cut it back inside or at the very least run through the defenders. Still a great game though. Good redemption by Chambers as well.
September 25, 200521 yr It was good to see Ronnie finally breaking some tackles late in the game there. Still have to work on penalties...far too many Good win overall Is it surprising to anyone else how weak this division is so far this year? I expected the Jets and Bills to be a lot better, and not like New England is playing all that great either.

It was clear when it was live and on replay that he grabbed the back of his leg at the end of the run, so he obviously got a cramp, hes not going to just run it out of bounds for no reason.

I missed that.

Still a great game though. Good redemption by Chambers as well. he was holding his hamstring.. I was worried he pulled something, it might of just tightend keys to the win, good o-line play, winning the turn over battle, stopping the run. Downsides: penalties, Howard is terrible, defense needs to work upon pass defense.
September 25, 200521 yr Has Roth been playing at all? He didn't play much if at all today. It was mostly the vets since it was a tight game the whole way.
September 25, 200521 yr The O-line was unbelievable. I don't know if Ferotte was even touched today. The run blocking wasn't spectacular, but good enough to get Ronnie Brown 130 yards or so. Chambers made up for last week. Reggie Howard still sucks. The Panthers proved once again why the option should not be run in the NFL. We can't have Reggie Howard covering the other team's #1. I don't know how Carolina was able to get that matchup a couple times, but I don't care if Madison has to play out of position...someone else has to cover the other team's #1. I can't remember the last time we actually recovered another team's fumble, so it was great to get 2 today. Usually we have 6 guys around the ball and the other team just has one, and the other team still gets it. Gus Ferrotte kind of sucked today. When you have that much time to throw the ball, you have to do better than 14-33. He missed a lot of open guys. Also, it's a good thing the Dolphins are decent this year because my fantasy team pretty much sucks. Pats are losing players left and right....the Dolphins are taking the AFC East.
September 25, 200521 yr For the Ronnie Brown play, you could see he noticeably slowed down to get out of bounds. That was an ok run out in my opinion. About the option, the Panthers ran it completely wrong. I still believe, if executed properly, it could be a dangerous weapon in the NFL because no one sees it. However, the only teams I could see getting to run it properly would be the Falcons (Vick-Duckett), the Vikings (Culpepper-Bennett), and maybe the Steelers (Roethlisberger-Bettis). Since all of the defense is noticeably faster at every position in the NFL, you'd have to have the all around package at QB plus a big bruiser with speed at RB. That way teams have to honor the fact that the QB could gun it on the run, pitch it back, or take it himself. Running an option with a WR or two tailing the play to the same side of the field could be destructive if run 5-7 times a game. The difference with the Panthers' version of the option today was that not only was the QB not involved (making it a double play instead of a three-pronged attack) but also whoever the lead runner was held the ball in his right hand, giving the impression that he was never going to tuck it and run. If he holds it properly, it could have done a lot more damage. I don't think one should give up on the option that quickly. You'll never see the Wing-T or the Triple Option offense in the NFL, but when mixed in with the regular play calls it could be absolutely explosive.

Well, Howard was clearly on Steve Smith at least 3 times that I noticed, and surely a lot more than that. Madison likes to stick to the left side of the field, I think. So when they go 3 wide, and Miami brings in its Nickel package, they would just stick Smith in the slot and he'd be lined up against Howard. It's not like Madison follows the #1 guy all over the field. Daniels was matched up against Smith a few times too.
September 25, 200521 yr I cant really rip Daniels even if he did get nailed for a big penalty. He played pretty solid for most of the game over all.
