October 27, 200521 yr Next NL Central team to get swept? Or are you going by the Pattern of the last two years for the WS winner?
October 27, 200521 yr Author Methinks the TIgers have a better shot. Jim Leyland is having my baby. Drinky
October 27, 200521 yr As a Reds fan, I know we have the offense to take the division. Problem is, we lack the pitching.

October 27, 200521 yr The Rockies WILL be good here before long. They are going the D-Ray way of developing young talent, and IMO by the time that Ian Stewart is ready to take over at 3B, that the Rockies will be in position to at least challenge for the NL West.

They won't compete until they resolve the following problems: 1) Problems the altitude causes to pitchers 2) Problems the altitude causes to hitters
October 27, 200521 yr Jeff Francis did a decent job pitching there, just have people follow his mold. This might sound stupid, but I'd trade Helton in a heartbeat because they could get something really good for him. And we aren't exactly talking about a great division here. The Yanks could be a possible suitor. Jaret Wright, Andy Phillips, Sean Henn, and Melky Cabrera for Helton possibly...hell throw in Cano(altho I doubt the Yanks would do that). Not what I expect, just throwing something out there.
