TimeWrecker
So im getting my 1st electric guitar, ive been play acoustic since i started, not that it matters, but im going for a Les Paul (Epi) THE TOPIC: I want an amp, but a cheap amp. Im hoping to get a decent amp for 75$ or less. I wouldnt take an unused gutar, but the amp can be used no prob. This will be my main amplifier, so im not looking for a real tiny one, although nothing giant, cause that will be much more than 75$.. Tips appreiciated, thanks! Passion
Play acoustic, better for the ladies and cheaper.
Buckeye
Sun amps are REALLY awesome. Might be pricey for you, though.
The Fan
Play like Hendrix.... Straticaster guitar and tune it down a half step with a '69 plexie Marshall amp.

SongInTheAir
it all really depends on the sound you want. each amp company and more specifically each model has its own tone. go to a guitar center or sam ash and try out a few of them and see which you like best. stay away from Crate amps though.
