High Prairie viable destination?

Featured Replies

If this was viable, wouldnt the Marlins have taken it and run with it?

Hialieah, Miami Lakes, North Miami Beach, they should all try to move to get a stadium in their cities cause lets face it, nobody has any reason to go there otherwise.

Miami lakes = no space. Plus, even if they had the space the property values and land values are way way too high.

Where in NMB? Not a bad idea, but where?

Hialeah is #1

Will people go to Hialeah to see the Marlins play? I remember when I moved from Florida 4 years ago, Hialeah was getting downhill(or so it seemed). I don't know if it has improved since then? Didn't help that we had to go through Miramar either.

How so? I have lived here all my life and I can say that it is not going downhill. Property values are pretty darn high in this neck of the woods. Crime is moderate, but significantly less than Carol City or the Area around the OB I would imagine

isn't this just south of Miramar?

Si

isn't this just south of Miramar?

Yes sir. Just a few miles from the Broward-Miami-Dade countyline.

That would be great for the Palm Beach people :)

accessible from I75, you ain't going to Hialeah. you are going straight to the stadium from a major highway

Robaina better jump on this if he expects to be mayor for the next 24 years like Martinez was

Yup. This is easily accessible for many people. LEt's face it I 75 does not havew the congestion that 826 or I 95 do, so no more excuses there

Meh. That's kinda far for me but oh well! As long as the Marlins get to stay in Florida! :thumbup

afew minutes more driving from the Dolphins Stadium site. Not too far

As far as the property goes. There is nothing but a few small container shipping companies, possibly a few farms, and other miscellaneous structures.

Last I checked it was going to cost the city millions to clean-up the site of toxic chemicals and garbage.

Oops my old man just told me that Robaina wanted to build some pricey homes in this area adjacent to Miami Lakes

1. That is the official result from Miami-Dade Elections.

2. The Property has not been developed as of 2 months since I went by.

3. That is up to those in Hialeah and Dade County as they are your tax dollars.

i would if I was down there :(

If anyone knows folks in the media suggest the ideas to them. I will to my friend that works for the fish. :)

Yeah, the village-type thing I mentioned.

Robaina could aspire for higher offices in South Florida if he pushes this and it passes.

I would support the Hialeah site. It's perhaps an additional 5 or 10 minute drive for fans north in Broward or Palm Beach county. It is readily accessible by either the Florida Turnpike or the Sawgrass Expressway/I-75. The site has very good access for all of South Florida. It may not be in a downtown area, but it has other advantages and would certainly help western Hialeah develop.
