I see nothing wrong with this Idea . The only stipulation is that he stops making that stupid grin during his wined up.

 

Being from NJ, I remember a lot of Mets fans calling on the Mike and the Maddog show complaining how they always see Looper's grin as a taunt back to the, especially on the days he blew saves

Figuring that Looper and Jones will command more or less the same money, I's much prefer Jones. That said, if Looper is the guy, I'll root for the guy every outing.

I would refer to the grin as more of a 'grimace', Loop would be a good addition at a reasonable rate, think that he will command much less than Jones. I think he would like the low pressure that will be the coming season in Florida.

Jones is washed up, one good year. forget about it. plus hes what 50? and from what it looks like we are going young. bring back looper and let the minor leaguers prove themselves too. jones will be in the bidding wars with other teams now that the top 2 closers are off the market. i say bring back loop for 3 mill. or less and let jones go play somewhere else and mess up.

I'd rather have Bump at closer....that's how much I don't want Looper
