November 29, 200520 yr Since 2000: World Series titles with Braden: 1 World Series titles without Braden: 0 in all seriousness, Id like to have him back if we dont resign Todd Jones
November 29, 200520 yr I like the idea. The friendly confines of DS may be just what Looper needs to have a rebound season.
November 29, 200520 yr Being out of Ny will do wonders for his psyche...I say bring back Loop...albeit at an affordable rate. :thumbup
November 29, 200520 yr I see nothing wrong with this Idea . The only stipulation is that he stops making that stupid grin during his wined up.
November 29, 200520 yr I see nothing wrong with this Idea . The only stipulation is that he stops making that stupid grin during his wined up. I always thought he has squinting. But sure why not, if he's cheap the Marlins should sign him. Hell, if he has a very good first half you can look at dealing him at the break.
November 29, 200520 yr eh he'll most likely come pretty cheap so why not i'd rather get the experiene in our bullpen.
November 29, 200520 yr I support this idea, can't hurt really. I doubt the marlins will even need a closer Yeah because they will go 0-162 right? :thumbup
November 29, 200520 yr Only on a one year deal. If he sucks...good bye. If he's good and we suck, he's dealt at the deadline for MORE YOUNG PITCHING!!!!!! (Since I'm a little worried about our depth there).
November 29, 200520 yr What the hell, why not give him a try. Even if we resign jones, I wouldnt mind looper at set up if the price is right
November 29, 200520 yr So we're sitting at $31M in committed payroll right now. Beinfest has about $9M to work with to sign a starter, closer and perhaps a set-up guy. It's certainly possible to work within those parameters. If they go ahead and deal Pierre they'll have another $4-5M to work with.
November 29, 200520 yr Since 2000: World Series titles with Braden: 1 World Series titles without Braden: 0 in all seriousness, Id like to have him back if we dont resign Todd Jones Actually, it's more like this... World Series titles with Braden: 1 (2003) World Series titles without Braden: 1 (1997) I'm actually in favor of this idea. why not? I liked him when he was here. He was key down the stretch and in the playoffs.
November 29, 200520 yr He was key down the stretch and in the playoffs. One of the key reasons Sea Bass had the chance to hit the GW in Game 4 IIRC.
