November 30, 200520 yr ...kinda... I just had a dream...a strange one...and you guys were involved... I'm a student at FIU, Mike Lowell's alma mater of course...I have a question about my graduation next month and I was hunting down someone who could answer it...I went to the Information Desk, yeah I should have done that first...and there was a guy there in baseball cap answering questions...I was kinda rude and tried to sneak up close in front of the other people waiting...the guy told me, in a harsh way, to back up and wait my turn...when it was my turn, he answered my question and I realized it was Mike 'freakin' Lowell!...apparently his offseason job includes working back at FIU... At first I was more in shock, and wasn't gonna say anything to him...then I glanced back at his cap and noticed it was a brand new Red Sox cap! I realized I really wasn't gonna get another shot like this to meet him so I introduced myself, shook his hand, called him my favorite Marlin, thanked him for everything...and told him that I wasn't upset at how harshly he spoke to me because I knew that his job forced him to talk like that so people wouldn't walk all over him...he mentioned that some media places...and THIS FORUM...sometimes give him a bad rap for an apparent bad attitude... No offense guys, I told him this board was wrong and Mike Lowell was the greatest guy ever... I shook his hand again then we parted ways...I'll be back tomorrow if I meet Mike Jacobs...
