December 1, 200520 yr Author didn't say you did either... that's why I said everyones opinions. just root for the Devil Rays dood.
December 1, 200520 yr Just a thought but one way to do this when the site gets up and running is to contact local reporters for the Sun, Herald, and PBP to see if they would want to run an article about the "Save the Marlins" campaign. The best publicity for the site would probably have to start through the newspapers. I'm not sure if any would be willing to do this, but maybe on a slow news day one of them would want to. It seems that's how the guy in Boston went about it since he had a story in the Boston Herald. That will get people reading and a hell of a lot more visitors than just those on this site. It would be a solid start at least. Dunno if that's the plan already just thought I'd throw that in.
December 1, 200520 yr You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. And if we fail, we would go down trying. Better than sitting on your ass and watching a chunk of your life leave with the passing wind. :notworthy "First they ignore you, Then they laugh at you, Then they fight you, Then you win." - Gandhi I will donate and ask others to do so as well!

December 1, 200520 yr Count me in guys. I can definitely chip in some cash for the site. Also, if there's anything I can do as a Mid-Atlantic representative...... I'm your man.

Its a great idea, especially during the off season when the baseball writers have nothing to do but spin rumors, this will give them something worthy to write about.
December 1, 200520 yr I sent my site to, savethemarlins.com, to Bill Simmons of ESPN Page 2 for his daily links, maybe if others send it there they might post it. Anyway, if you have any feedback let me know. I found this site because someone sent me an email from the site I created, just trying to help the cause. By the way, anyone know if that guy who looks like Willie Nelson is still kicking?

December 1, 200520 yr I just registered my page with a domain name. Should be active in the next couple days
December 1, 200520 yr You guys can count on me in the financial end. Haven't done much HTML work in years, so I don't know how helpful I can be on that end however
December 1, 200520 yr Hey Lefty, just something for you to think about. Just take a look back in history and think about how this country would be like if women didn't protest so they can vote... if Rosa Parks gave up her seat in that bus... the list goes on and on. Never say that there's no hope.

December 2, 200520 yr I know it's a different subject and all, but the example I am trying to give you is that any ordinary person like you and me can make a big difference.
December 2, 200520 yr Lefty, if you want the Marlins to stay in South Florida, you have to get active. You have to face the battle no matter what the odds are. Believing in something and making a stand for it is ALWAYS better than submitting and wishing that you did something instead.

But at least now everyone knows where one Jewban stands
December 2, 200520 yr History if filled with people that stood their ground and fought for they believed in. So if we believe in this so much, who's to say that we won't be heard and couldn't make a difference?
December 2, 200520 yr People need to stay focused on the issue at hand...no need to clutter this thread with extra posts... Back on topic... What is the definitive website that's being used for the Save the Marlins' effort??? Thanks. Is there a link on the homepage yet?
December 2, 200520 yr My website now has a domain name, but it is not representative of the global effort, it's more of a regional thing for folks up in my neck of the woods.
December 3, 200520 yr History if filled with people that stood their ground and fought for they believed in. So if we believe in this so much, who's to say that we won't be heard and couldn't make a difference? I agree.. This is the quote I put in my siggy "Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."
