we got:

Scott Olsen, Yusmeiro Petit, Vargas (if u wanna call him a prospect), Josh Johnson, Volstad, Tankersley, Thompson, Marceaux, Bowyer, Resop, Allison, Tucker, West, Anibal

did I miss anyone? Even though i'd gladly trade some of them for some hitting, that is a VERY impressive list

Do we even have room for all those guys in our minor league system? That's a list of 25 pitchers. Add in journeymen (guys we'll need for callups) in AAA, some guys we don't know much about that were drafted last year or the year before, and some guys that are just in our system... a few will make the big league roster. What do we do with the rest? Seems like we should trade 2-3 of them for some hitters.

Yes its called the Florida Marlins, 5/6 on that list at least will make the 25 man roster.

We also got Scott Tyler from the Twins for Castillo, but I don't know how good he is.

Scott T. had an outstanding season in Low A which earned him a spot on the Twins 40-man roster. He wasn't bad at High A Fort Myers, but the wasn't really outstanding overall either. He had some very good games, but the consistancy was lacking. Some of the guys questioned how he got on the 40-man in the first place, but...as I said, he was coming off an outstanding season in Low A.

On the whole I'd say he earned a promotion to AA. He'll got into the system and maybe turn into something for you guys. He can start or he can pitch middle relief. Big kid though, might actually be able to swing a stick if he needs to.

ya i agree you gotta put Sanchez above AA to start the year and if Petit pitches well in ST theres no way i dont see him making the MLB roster I would also think about starting Volstad at High A and Gaby Hernandez at AA

After Gaby Hernandez had his struggles this year at High A, and given the stack of pitching talent it would be prudent to hold off and have him remain at High A (Jupiter). Volstad should start the year at Low A (Greensboro) as Vargas and Tankersley did this year to see how he gets on. No point having their confidence shot by moving them up too quick.
