  1. Down with Moehler and his avg. skills. when did he get his skills back
  2. yea if we do any trades it has to be for a prospect OFer not one whos somewhat established and it will probly take anibal and gaby to get crawford which i wouldnt even want to do because of crawfords OBP maybe we can talk to the DRays and try to see if we can get Delmon while he's suspended
  3. the closer if we didnt use him before that seems like a good idea i mean its kind of the closers job especially in a 1 run game(duh)
  4. yea but this is a very pitching heavy draft with some projections having 26 pithchers in the first round and all the hitting prospects are considered weak and comp or 2nd rounders in a good draft
  5. ya! let's get felix pie! i'd love to have him..but doubt the cubs will trade him. we tried to get him in the JP deal..didn't work out. others that look interesting are: Jacob Ellsbury, CF, red sox org. Alex Gordon, 1B-3B-OF, royals org. Cameron Maybin, OF, tigers org. Ryan Braun, 3B , brewers org. Matt Pawelek, P, cubs org. Mike Pelfrey, P, mets org. Braun. Gordon. Pelfrey. Maybin and maybe Pawalek are untouchable
  6. ya what people always fail to grasp is that it's only been 3 weeks in NOTHING of value can be learned from 3 weeks. I mean HanRam will not hit over .300 for the year if any player had a 3 week run where he's hitting .333 no one would give it a second look
  7. ok he was put in a high pressure situation for the first time in his career Mariano Rivera had a 5.51 ERA in his first season with the Yanks at 25 you cant judge relievers in the same way you judge other pitchers because of smaller sample size.
  8. ya its taken by balance-software.com how about thefish-tank.com

  12. I like it it's pretty sweet the only thing is they only show bad stats. NO OBP, SLG, OPS, 2B, 3B its not like i wanna see thier VORP but any good stats would be good
  13. the brewers have a decent team..but they aren't good enough to get by the cubs/cardinals. the cubs are an average team on the down that can stay healthy and the cards are getting old and i heard proof that Pujols is really thirty which if true means that the ENTIRE team is on the downturn Rolen was injured last year, Edmonds is mid 30's Carpenter and Isringhausen are the only guys who can pitch i am seriously high on the Brew Crew this year they are a young team on the UP who will win 90-93 this year
  14. its ok it lost that smalltown feel that i like for a minors site but it is very modern and futuristic and reminds me of the new MLB.com but hey its ok
  15. why would he do that you leave early to be a 1st rounder and that is NO guarantee for him he should have stayed if so that miami team would have meade the tourney
  16. 135. Yorman Bazardo, RHP, Mariners God I cant believe we gave him up for Villone I hated that deal from the second we did it
  17. why would i want Corey Patterson 1.5???? Pie is one of the most overrated prospects is years he cannot take a walk and it will cost him at the AAA level let alone MLB

i give it a resounding meh the scores on the left is out of place and bad and the color scheme is terrible the old layout was much better
  19. unless we can get a guy called Justin Verlander or Francisco Liriano the answer is no. If we go after hitters which we should the list is 5 players Young, Wood, Kendrick, J Upton and Milledge
  20. I call him Reggie & The Full Effect. Named after one of my fav bands. :hat :deal how bout just "The Full Effect" or "Crombie" Nicknames do not have to have meaning just sound good and i like crombie or how bout shortening The Full effect to TFE
  21. This team will be absolutly terrible in the 1st half and expect them to make an 04 DRays type 2nd half getting better as the season goes on with the rotation being top tier by September and the lineup being average by next year.
  22. OMG this man is trying to avoid all responsibiltiy for this war. When was the last time that Bush answered a question honestly. Alberto Gonzalez had guts going to georgetown but he didnt say anything there is NO defense for anything this administration has done in 4 YEARS!!!!!!! I mean its starting not even to affect some people its gotten so bad.
  23. I read in the initial report that it was Lastings or Petit but the Marlins liked Petit more and that the deal woulf have stayed the same
  24. Marlins OF: Take a quick look at the Marlins' depth chart on MLB.com, paying particular attention to their outfield. Jeremy Hermida is set in right field, so no problems there. However, currently listed as the starters in center and left field are Eric Reed and Chris Aguila, with Reggie Abercrombie as their only backup. What's especially strange is that the Marlins haven't brought in many veteran free agents on minor league deals to compete for the jobs--only Matt Cepicky and Mark Little. While it's important to acknowledge that they're retooling for the future, the above outfielders really don't qualify as prospects at all. Looking at them individually: Reed: Reed has evinced comparisons to Juan Pierre inside and outside the organization, both because of his speed and because of his complete lack of power, an issue that will only be exacerbated in Florida's spacious home park. While his speed and stolen base potential are attractive from a fantasy standpoint, he has two big problems. He's had a hard time staying healthy and, more importantly, he does a poor job of getting on base, making his speed less of an asset. His brief campaign at Triple-A Albuquerque last year is especially galling--only three walks in 171 at-bats. Aguila: Of the three outfielders listed for the two open spots, Aguila might be the most promising, having put up some gaudy batting averages at his last three minor league stops. He doesn't really have the power one would like from a corner outfielder, but at least he can take a walk and hit for average. We don't project him to hit .300 with the Marlins, however. He's also too old to be considered a legitimate prospect, having turned 27 in February. Abercrombie: Given the nickname "Tools" by a few of us at the Arizona Fall League Symposium last November, Abercrombie looks good in a uniform and impresses observers with his raw physical skills. Alas, his performance has never really matched his potential. He's never been able to conquer Double-A, despite three separate attempts. Last year with the Marlins (split between high-A Jupiter and Double-A Carolina) Abercrombie drew only 25 walks while striking out a whopping 127 times. This is not the profile of a hitter ready for the major leagues. Compounding the Marlins' problems is that they have very few promising outfield prospects. Kris Harvey is probably the best of the bunch, but he was just drafted in the second round of the 2005 draft and will only begin the year in low-A ball. Jai Miller hasn't panned out so far, and the clock is starting to tick for him. They're really left with few in-house options. One possibility is for them to move Josh Willingham out to left field, in order to get his bat in the lineup every day. Otherwise, don't be surprised if they trade some of their pitching prospect depth away to get help in the outfield. One name mentioned frequently this offseason has been Joey Gathright of the Devil Rays. The Rays have a glut of outfielders and need pitching help. However, their decision to try out Aubrey Huff at third base again might open up a spot for Gathright, plus it gives them a little more negotiation leverage in trade talks. So far the two sides haven't come that close on a potential deal.
