Marlins turn to Penny for road win

Florida (70-61) at Pittsburgh (59-70), 7:05 p.m. ET

By Eric Pfahler / Special to MLB.com

The Marlins lost their sixth game in seven tries, dropping a 4-3 decision to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday at PNC Park.

Derrek Lee hit a two-run homer, but it was one of just four hits for the Marlins.

Starter Mark Redman tossed seven innings, but he allowed a two-run homer to Jason Kendall to break a tie in the seventh, putting the Marlins down 4-2.

The Marlins turn to Brad Penny to reverse the trend. Penny has a 2.90 ERA since July 5. During that span, he is 5-3 and has yielded 20 runs in 62 innings.

Maybe i should go to church and pray for the marlins,im going to do that sunday you do that to please everyone pray for the marlins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

someone has put a curse on the marlins-who dunnit?

This is so embarassing, we are playing ourselves right out of the wild card.

we'll be ok guys, don't lose focus, we'll be there when it's all said and done.

No excuses here, we're not playing in coors field, we're not playing a 1st place team. If we can't beat the Pirates then we shouldn't be in the playoffs.
