December 24, 200520 yr Almost 120 here. The majority were bought over 4 years ago. Until I discovered... renting.
December 24, 200520 yr 83. Renting is cool, but movies I really like I want to own because I like watching them more than once.
December 24, 200520 yr Probably 130+ or so. Just a rough guess. I counted 100 down here and there's definitely 30 plus upstairs.
December 24, 200520 yr Per my DVD Aficionado site: http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=claytongooch I have 114 with a few more I still believe to be missing and some that my girlfriend and I both have but that I haven't put on there.
December 24, 200520 yr That's a cool web site, Passion. I'm tempted to get one of those. It's really easy to do....just remember when you add just to put in region 1 titles, those are the US versions. Its good on keeping tabs on your collection and looking up new things and versions.
December 24, 200520 yr Where the hell do you guys get all this money? I mean, you realize that 100+ DVDs = well over $1,000? Damn.
December 24, 200520 yr Where the hell do you guys get all this money? I mean, you realize that 100+ DVDs = well over $1,000? Damn. Plenty of mine were gifts from family and friends. I have used alot of gift cards I have gotten over the years from there as well. Plus besides food, a few bills and a few other things this is what I spend my spending money on.
December 24, 200520 yr Where the hell do you guys get all this money? I mean, you realize that 100+ DVDs = well over $1,000? Damn. Well, I never ask for much for Christmas so when my family is done yelling at me for not making a list I just give them 5-6 DVD titles and 3-4 books and they split it between themselves. That and I've been working since I was in tenth grade without having to support anyone but myself and not have to pay for rent, so I buy movies and books I like. $1,000+ is a lot of money, but not when you're spreading it out over six years and a lot of it isn't yours.
December 24, 200520 yr Where the hell do you guys get all this money? I mean, you realize that 100+ DVDs = well over $1,000? Damn. I started collecting in '98. And I, like Juanky, get a lot of DVD's for Christmas. Some of them, I don't like or watch that much (usually gifts from people who have no taste/don't know what I like). But, for the most part it's stuff I bought/asked for. I probably purchase 10-15 a year and ask for between 5 to 8 for Christmas. Considering I spend about 1500 a year on the Bengals I don't think that's--that much.
December 24, 200520 yr I have like 45 I get a bunch of movies from the $5.50 bin at Wal-mart :plain ...have gotten many good movies there. Not to mention the quality after thanksgiving sales at best buy/wal mart. Overall probably buy 12 dvds a year.
December 24, 200520 yr Author I think the best thing about DVD Aficionado is the DVD Compare Prices. Really really nice feature.
