lebron is significantly better than wade in all individual stat categories.

Huh????

PTS: James 25.8; Wade 22.4

FG%: James 45.7%; Wade 47.9%

FT%: James 74.8%; Wade 76.7%

AST: James 6.6; Wade 6.0

REB: James 6.6; Wade 5.0

Steals: James 1.86; Wade 1.61

Blocks: James .75; Wade .85

Shots per game: James 19.8; Wade 16.7

MPG: James 41.3; Wade 37.5

So for their careers, James' only really significant advantage is PPG, and that's only because he has taken THREE more shots per game and FOUR more minutes per game.

And the past two years, Wade has averaged more assists, blocks, FG%. If Wade was the only all-star on his team, he'd be averaging more than Lebron I bet.

Come on Das.

Come on.

if you really think dwayne wade is on the same level as lebron james then...wow.

and this is no knock on dwayne wade. its simply a testament to simply how special lebron james is.

exactly...Wade is a great player, but he's no Lebron

+1

I really don't see the fascination with Lebron being that much better than Wade.

I just don't see it.

Then again, I'm mature enough to know that my Heat bias is there.

here are the 20 finalists:

Walt Bellamy

Kobe Bryant

Adrian Dantley

Joe Dumars

Tim Duncan

Alex English

Kevin Garnett

Connie Hawkins

Allen Iverson

LeBron James

Dennis Johnson

Jason Kidd

Bernard King

Bob Lanier

Bob McAdoo

Reggie Miller

Steve Nash

Gary Payton

Dennis Rodman

Dominique Wilkins

no Chris Mullin?

From that list, I would choose:

Kobe Bryant

Tim Duncan

Kevin Garnett

Allen Iverson

Jason Kidd

Reggie Miller

Steve Nash

Gary Payton

Dennis Rodman

Dominique Wilkins

The whole argument is pretty pointless. Both are great players. Their career numbers are both similar. My point is that if you consider one to be a candidate for the Top 60 at this point in their careers, you have to consider the other a candidate as well. I personally don't think either should be on the list yet.

Wade shoots 11 percent from 3 point land.

:plain

He takes less than one per game. If he shot it on a consistent basis, it would higher. He just realizes that he doens't have to shoot the 3. He's averaging 27.4 on 49+ without it, which makes him even more impressive.

Wade shoots 11 percent from 3 point land.

And the great Michael Jordan shot 16% from 3 throughout the first 4 years of his career.

Wade shoots 11 percent from 3 point land.

So you haven't watched many Heat games then. If you did, you'd know that the majority of Wade's attempts from beyond the 3 point line come at the end of a quarter or half and are heaves from half court. He has shot maybe 20 "legit" 3-point shots this season. He has said that he just doesn't shoot them because the team doesn't want or need him to. The 11% stat is misleading.

Lebron being on there is laughable.....

right? or is it just me?

He's been in the league one year less than Shaq when he made it...

Of course Shaq had just gotten done leading his team to the NBA finals and leading all players in the NBA in PPG. He was also 2nd in rebounds that season and 2nd in MVP voting.

It's not quite as surprising, then, that he'd be voted to the list the following season.

Lebron just hasn't had enough time to rack up those kinds of accomplishments yet.

Wade shoots 11 percent from 3 point land.

In yo face, hater.

But LeBron is doing a lot of his stuff as the youngest ever. Shaq made the list initially based on the little he had done (I say little only referencing the number of years) and what he projected to do in the future.

James is hitting scoring milestones as the youngest player in history, that puts him on my 10, and the age thing is the real difference maker between him and Wade.

Not taking any of that away from James, but can you really be in the Top 60 all time in the NBA and have scored as many postseason points as I have? (By the way, I have zero career postseason points :) )

Lebron is also in company that only Jordan and Robertson are in.

Congrats to them all

Tim Duncan

Kobe Bryant

Kevin Garnett

Connie Hawkins

Bob McAdoo

Jason Kidd

Gary Payton

Dominique Wilkens

Reggie Miller

Allen Iverson

no order..

Bob Mac and GP are both in Miami, so I'm even more happy for both of them!

ya they probably dont deserve it.

i'm looking at how amazing lebron has been and how much better he will continue to be.

when all is said and done, i see lebron as one of the top 10 ever.

funny how mr duncan blew em away, sometimes spurs fans forget how lucky we are.

ya they probably dont deserve it.

If he was more outgoing and charming, he could easily be one of my favorite players.

he hates the media attention, but if you ever see him in front of the camera he is quite hilarious.
