February 19, 200620 yr Quality race Tony Stewart should be suspended and I'm dead serious...anytime anyone says they intentionally wreck someone they should take a seat. It's one thing to wreck someone intentionally(the traditional bump in the back) but what he did was just plain wrong. He was regoddamndiculous today. He complains about someone could die and then he does that. Unbelievable. It was a fun race...for the most part. Good to have racing back...Onto California
February 20, 200620 yr Great race to start off the season and congrats to Jimmie Johnson for winning the '06 Daytona 500. I'm happy with the 8th place finish of Dale Jr and know he could have gotten back up if they had a few more laps. Hopefully he can get some consistency going in the next couple of races.

Good to have racing back...Onto California Ya well you can say the same about Jimmie Johnson. His crew chief blatently cheated and ya even though it was caught, they should have taken the car also. But congrats to Jimmie. But most importantly... Good run for Robbie Gordon! That's the way to start a season off in style.
February 20, 200620 yr Author Woo! Jimmie gets it done. Without Knaus and after the controversy of the last week or so. I had alot of fun watching this and it was pretty much like I thought it would be, alot of guys would have a chance to win, and that's exactly how it was. I wish the weather would have made it a bit more TV friendly, but oh well. Tony Stewart is an ass clown, he was the one saying how people's agressiveness was going to get someone killed, and look what he goes out and does. Wrecks Gordon's day (who may have had the best car out there today) and Kenseth's. What a f***ing jerk.
February 22, 200620 yr JJ might be my new favorite racer. I've seen him on several interviews since his win, and the young fella really handles himself well. He's a true pro, and a lot less redneck than most of the other guys.
February 22, 200620 yr I liked JJ a lot during his rookie year but I can't stand him now. Whenever something happens on the track, it's always someone elses fault. He is the biggest baby in the field, easily. And why the hell did the #96 team get points taken away while the #48 team didn't? This is completely bogus and NASCARnation knows it. NASCAR needs to set a SOLID policy (for once) about what kind of penalties occur for inspection violations. This is a tainted victory for the #48 team whether they let onto it or not. JJ might be my new favorite racer. I've seen him on several interviews since his win, and the young fella really handles himself well. He's a true pro, and a lot less redneck than most of the other guys. Wait till he gets involved in a wreck and watch the interview afterwards... It really is amazing the change this sport is going through. I'm pretty sure like 80% of the drivers are not from the Southeast. While obviously Nascar is still most popular in the Southeast and those are the hardcore fans(the ones willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars to help a guy like Kirk Shelmerdine(sp?) buy tires for the race just because he was the crew chief of Dale Earnhardt 20 years ago.), but point is the sport is expanding and one of these days will rid itself of the redneck stereotype.
February 22, 200620 yr I just want NASCAR to let Dodge use hemispherical heads again. But, that would seem to go against the pro-Chevrolet bias NASCAR has always had since the mid-70's until now.

I'm with ya man...Always been my biggest complaint about Nascar. The aren't consistent at all. Personally I feel if you cheat to qualify you should be disqualified from the race no matter who it is. Obviously wouldn't ever happen because of the uproar from fans and sponsors. They really need to set a standard. people are going to push the envelope and try to stretch the rules as much as possible. But I mean Chad Knaus has been caught whatt 8 times now?...ridiculous. Something should be done
February 22, 200620 yr I think that should be a rule (cheat = parked for the weekend). If it were the rule, it would never have to be enforced. Sponsor and fan outcry is not a factor.
