we just won our first ever curling medal. It is a strange sport but well congrats to them. Also I believe with that medal we now have the most medals in a winter olympics not held within the US.

still nobody is watching normally lol

i was watching the womens final yesterday that went to an extra end

that was tense stuff, with all the strategy and the skill it takes to hit the stones just right

People like to rip on Curling, but I think it is actually one of the most entertaining winter sports. The 'athletes' who compete have the physique of bowlers but what they do take alot of strategy and skill.

I meant nobody is watching the winter olympics in general. It has hugely down ratings yet again. But Curling was different

I've actually done it before...It's pretty damn fun......I enjoyed being a sweeper and find it one of the better things to watch on TV for the olympics.

I didnt get to see curling. I love curling...instead all they show is figure skating and dancing and prancing...

Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in 2002 was one of the Olympic's best performances ratings wise. You'd have to go back to 1992 to see ratings this low.

MSNBC had Curling on almost every day.

funny the response this is getting. I actually watched it for the first time the other day(womens) and I actually enjoyed it as well.

the US Women's team is hot as hell

The time difference is plays a huge part in ratings I would imagine. People can just look online and read how they did before the event actually happened...Vancouver ratings will be higher

The curlers have incredible precision and finesse. I wouldn't call it a sport, but I'd say it can be interesting if you understand it.

That's what happens when NBC decides to fill their primetime slot with garbage like Ice Dancing.

There was a total hotty on the Danish team, clearly the curling rink is a place to pick up women.....Although related to another thread the GB team was ugly as hell. :confused
