March 6, 200620 yr I was watching the Mets vs PR today and saw how good these two clowns are. Alex Cintron is making $360k to eat the bench in Arz and Alex Cora is going to eat a lot of bench in Boston Granted Cora's no spring chicken...but at 31 he can help develope some of these kids. Wonder if the front office is scouting players or if they are content with what they have created.

March 6, 200620 yr If we're getting mere placeholders there's little sense in trading anything for guys that are not part of the core of the team.
March 6, 200620 yr Author Batato has gone over to the dark side, a shame. nah, just still pissed at what is going on with the team. I feel it's a crime what the FO is up to. Seems to me they only want out of Florida instead of trying to find a solution.
March 6, 200620 yr Cintron should be avaliable for cheap. Counsel/Hudson are locked, Easley is the backup. They just got a guy named Callapso from the Angels who projects to be a starting calibre 2B. And of course, there is Stephen Drew who some say will be starting by July. Cintron will struggle to play league average D though.... but that's still better then Uggla. I like Cintron. I'd send feelers out and see if he comes cheap. If not, whatever.
