March 14, 200620 yr currently it looks like shades and uggla will be starting middle infielders but who will be backing them up? the other two middle infielders listed on the 40 man roster are andino and amezaga. andino will be sent to the minors so he is starting and amezaga has only 1 plate appearence between spring training and the wbc. im just wondering who the other possibilities are
March 14, 200620 yr Scott Seabol is seeing some time at 2nd base and is a possibility. He is not a Shortstop though. I think he has potential to make the team as a pinch-hitter, 2b/3b back-up
March 14, 200620 yr Author well, helms is going to be a 3b back up and cabrera did start 156 games last year so another 3b is not needed on the bench cabrera and willingham both use to be shortstops but they are going to be starting other positions
March 15, 200620 yr helms... and maybe kinkade? if not u might see them sign a tomas perez type person like mentioned above that has been mentioned in rumors.
