uggla's average sinking like a stone. Hermida trying to stay above the mendoza line...

Manager Joe Girardi said Wednesday that Dan Uggla will likely be the Marlins' starting second baseman.

"When we brought him in, our hope was he would be our everyday second baseman," Girardi said. "He has made great progress. Right now he is our everyday second baseman." Don't expect a ton, but he's worth a look in NL-only leagues. Mar. 16 - 10:31 am et

Nice play, Shadez!

Hip Hip Horray for James :lol

yay Holly!...marlins announcers reporting that they think willingham will be the everyday catcher...vargas with a solid sac bunt

So if Willy gets the nod behind the plate does this mean either Treanor or Olivo will get the axe? Can we afford to carry three catchers? Jacobs could serve as the emrgency backup if necessary.

Will Reggie start in CF with Aguila in left?

Inning over.

Marlins coming up.

i dont know...personally i like the idea of willingham being our left fielder better, give us a better defensive team in my opinion to have olivo and treanor behind the plate...guzman reaches on a walk and it picked off

Gagne now pitching for the Dodgers.. eek!

So, why has Willingham not played the last several games?

I think that's the popular opinion so far. I think platoons in center and left are most likely. Abercrombie will get some starts, Aguila, we'll see if Stokes can play out there, possibly Matt Cepicky. I think Reed's on the outside looking in.

Ramirez singles!

Uggla hits into a DP

:plaindance
